Monsanto and Bill Gates: More Superbugs in the Making!

Monsanto and Bill Gates: More Superbugs in the Making!

It looks as if the GM chicken is coming home to roost for The world’s largest chemical, and plant seed corporation as farmers begin to fear what many have expected when one tampers with nature. Just as Monsanto is set ready to release to the ordinary  U.S. consumer their GM corn, in the fields of Iowa, U.S., a new superbug, the western corn rootworm is manifesting that is resistant to Monsanto’s GM corn. What happens to us human when we continually take antibiotics for every illness is that the natural immunity wears down, is the same as the problem that many farmers are experiencing as they continue to use chemical pesticides, and fertilizers.

The GM corn itself, is under attack by the superbug that it is supposed to annihilate, as Monsanto dispatches a combination of GM and non-GM corn to tackle the problem.  What purpose this will serve is none too clear – is it expected that the superbug rootworm will eat the non- GM corn instead of the GM corn? Has the superbug received its instructions? And even if the superbug neglects the GM corn, does this mean that the non-GM crop throughout the U.S. subject the devastation by the new strain of rootworm?

This coincides with Bill Gates campaign on malaria at a time when malaria is on an upsurge, when previous campaigns successfully reduced malaria. The upsurge is higher than before the campaign. This is a result of an increasing resistance to the anti-malarial drug insecticide deltamethrin, recommended by WHO, and used by Gates to treat bed-nets.

Instead, what is left, is what was always available and present in the beginning for young people to experience repeated infections in childhood, with a natural immunity developing from those infections for those who survive alongside the successful Cuban method, and maybe it’s time to stop fooling ourselves that we can control nature, and start realizing that we are supposed to work with nature!

Put the Glass Down

Put the Glass Down

A professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see and asked the students, “How much do you think this glass weighs?”

‘50 gms!’…. ‘100 gms!’…… ‘125 gms’ …… the students answered.

“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”

“Nothing” the students said.

“Ok! What would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?” the professor asked.

“Your arm would begin to ache,” said one of the students.

“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”

“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress and paralysis and have to go to hospital for sure!” ventured another student; and all the students laughed.

“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” asked the professor.

“No” the students said.

“Then what caused the arm ache and the muscle stress?” The students were puzzled.

“Put the glass down!” said one of the students.

“Exactly!” said the professor. “Life’s problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head and they seem okay. Think of them for a long time and they begin to ache. Hold it even longer and they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.”

“It’s important to think of the challenges (problems) in your life, but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to have trust in Allah (SWT) and to ‘put them down’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep. That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh and strong and can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!”

So, as it becomes time for you to leave work today, Remember friend to “PUT THE GLASS DOWN

TODAY” and have tranquility by putting trust in Almighty Allah (SWT).

{He it is who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more faith added to their faith} (Al- Fatha 48:4)
