School Secret Cemetery Reveals More Graves*

School Secret Cemetery Reveals More Graves*

Anthropologists from the University of South Florida have found 19 previously unknown grave shafts on the grounds of a notorious Florida reform school, suggesting that many more boys died there amid brutal conditions than had previously been known, the researchers said Monday.

The Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, which was also known as the Florida State Reform School, closed in June 2011 after state investigators and the U.S. Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division confirmed widespread abuse over many decades.

The state attributed its decision to close the school to budgetary reasons. Yet long before then, the institution had been the target of investigations and lawsuits alleging not only physical and mental abuse but also forced labor, rape and even murder of the young charges sent to its care since it opened in 1900.

The prominent writer Roger Dean Kiser, author of “The White House Boys – An American Tragedy,” about the horrors he experienced while incarcerated there in the 1950s as a child, has called the school a “concentration camp for little boys.” He wrote that “a devil was hiding behind every tree, every building and even behind every blade of manicured grass.”

They’re called the White House Boys because much of the abuse occurred in an 11-room building on the school grounds known as the White House, where former students say they were beaten with leather straps. A group of the former students sued the state in 2010, but the case was dismissed because the statute of limitations had expired.

Previous investigations and records had reported that 31 boys were buried on school grounds, and that most of them died in a fire and an influenza outbreak at the school in the early 1900s. But researchers at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, say they now estimate there are at least 50 grave shafts in the area of the school’s cemetery and the surrounding woods. Some graves may have been the final resting place for more than one boy, the researchers said in an interim report released Monday.

Records recovered and examined by the researchers indicate that at least 96 boys and two adults died at the school from 1914 to 1973. Most of boys who were committed to the school and died there were African-American.

But that may be only the tip of the iceberg: The researchers didn’t have access to student records after 1960, when such documents became subject to privacy laws. Moreover, researchers couldn’t test the entire area because of overgrowth and vegetative conditions, they said.

And more chillingly, there may be other, secret graveyards somewhere on the grounds, given the number of still-unaccounted-for cases and the practice of segregating cemeteries during the first half of the last century, Erin Kimmerle, an assistant professor of anthropology at the university, said on a conference call with reporters. It’s highly unlikely that white boys were buried with black boys during those decades, but as yet, the researchers haven’t found a previously hidden whites-only cemetery.

“I didn’t realize going in how much of a story of civil rights it was,” Kimmerle said.

The research team used ground-penetrating radar and other methods to map the school’s cemetery and chemically analyzed the soil to identify the number of graves.

“We anticipated finding about 25 to 30 grave shafts,” said Christian Wells, an assistant professor of anthropology who led the anthropological work at the site, “but in fact we found a minimum of 50” – all of them on the north side of the campus, called Boot Hill, where African-American boys were segregated.

A full picture of the sheer scale of the abuses remains difficult to paint, because there are significant gaps and discrepancies in the records, “and the cause and manner of death for the majority of cases are unknown,” the report said.

“Many questions persist about who is buried at the school and the circumstances surrounding their deaths,” the report said. But Kimmerle said the team had determined that at least 20 boys died within the first three months of having been remanded to the school’s custody – probably because they were unable to cope with the crowding and the conditions – and that burial locations were unspecified for nearly three times more African-American boys than for white boys. Reading Between the Lines: Who’s Calling for Justice?

Whose PawnReading Between the Lines: Who’s Calling for Justice?

My first experience of being totally wrapped up in a cause, ad supporting anyone from that cause, was during the official apartheid era (which hasn’t ended actually). I was ready to go out and fight on the ground, not with a gun, but with certain recognized skills. I would listen to anyone from the field of battle, assuming that they were from the field of battle, with an open heart, manage by a gullible mind. In that process, I learnt that not everyone was who they said they were – from the battle ground yes, but for the cause no!

Years have passed since then and I have learnt and unlearnt much, and it is with some hindsight that one looks at the so-called activists online activities. When it comes to causes nearer their homes, the arguments are solid, but when it comes to certain causes far from their shores, their biases come to the surface. Sometimes those biases are expressions of their prejudices, i.e. racism, and Islamophobia are clear examples, and sometimes those activists have stretched the meaning of activism in its literal sense supporting a regime, whether Western or otherwise.

It shocked me to hear one university professor, someone I know say adamantly that he would not vote in favor of a draft Constitution to go to public Referendum in Egypt. The reason for the shock was purely emotional – he does not like Muslim Brotherhood. The anti-Mursi nationwide media has been successful in its propaganda campaign, like the West and certain Arab countries have been on Libya, and now Syria.

From this professional I would have expected a process of reasoning based on actually reading the draft Constitution, which unlike him others less professional have done. The shock was also because he became a member of growing list of those who only see one-side of the story, the side that is led by Muhammed El-Baradei’s newly formed  National Salvation Party that has unmarked vehicles outside the presidential palace delivering food, money, and alcohol to those who have been paid to ‘sit-in’ and cause the kind of ongoing destruction that has led to fatalities and injuries, that went as far to unsuccessfully harass the underground (metro) management into shutting it down to meet their call for all-out civil disobedience, the kind that conjures up excuses to not be involved in healing the nation towards democracy, the kind that are linked to the Mubarak regime and therefore in control of the media and all national infrastructures and amenities, and therefore the kind that are in position to invite individuals on live debate and make a blood thirsty facist attack would mislead the people that their battle against the state had anything to do with all Egyptians.

It was even known that a planned second armed attack leading to deaths was to take place which was to be blamed on the armed forces sealing the fate of both SCAF, and the Mursi government proving the Hitler strategy that the Bigger the lie, the more likely that people will believe it.

The trouble is many of these online advancers of liberties are helping to spread the Big Lie, because President Mursi is a confirmed practicing Muslim, and not a Muslim in name only. It was more his actions since becoming president that made me pay attention, and not chastise him for being a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, but those who saw his presidency as their loss, only see what they want to see, and have been galvanizing their efforts ever since. That galvanizing force is making many fear that they are in for another dictatorship without the input of the original revolutionary principled call of the youth that was made on January 25 two years ago. Depriving the people the right to decide, they want to decide the way forward!

Now, we can find that ‘activism’ has a broader meaning aided and abetted by methods of infiltration to turn a sequence of events back in favour of the establishment. One such example is AVAAZ as described by Susanne Posel  rep-posted below:

In the digital era, activism has turned into clicktivism and Ricken Patel, founder of has capitalized on the globalization of the world through the internet. Avaaz claims to be a “world in action” that brings the campaigning community together by empowering people through “decision-making worldwide”.

Avaaz has given a “voice” to those who do not want to join in actually protesting injustice in the world, but would rather organize within the comfort of their own home with online petitions that allegedly pressure elected officials are governments; similar to other websites like ResPublica, GetUp! and

Avaaz has become so influential that they were involved in disseminating propaganda with the proxy war in Syria. In fact, Avaaz has been supportive of the manufactured uprising in Syria that has made the Free Syrian Army (FSA) so successful.

Alice Jay, campaign director for Avaaz, claims that the Houla massacre was the work of the Syrian government by stating:

“Dozens of children lie covered with blood, their faces show the fear they felt before death, and their innocent lifeless bodies reveal an unspeakable massacre. These children were slaughtered by men under strict orders to sow terror. Yet all the diplomats have come up with so far is a few UN monitors ‘observing’ the violence. Now, governments across the world are expelling Syrian ambassadors, but unless we demand strong action on the ground, they will settle for these diplomatic half-measures.”

The response expected by Avaaz is explained in that occupation of Syria would stop such violence. Jay says: “The UN is discussing what to do right now. If there were a large international presence across Syria with a mandate to protect civilians, we could prevent the massacres while leaders engage in political efforts to resolve the conflict. I cannot see more images like these without shouting from the rooftops. But to stop the violence, it is going to take all of us, with one voice, demanding protection for these kids and their families. Sign the urgent petition on the right to call for UN action now and share this campaign with everyone.”

The FSA is made up of recruits found by the CIA-created al-Qaeda all over the Arab world, then trained in a facility in Turkey that is controlled by the CIA. These newly trained “freedom fighters” are shipped across the Turkish/Syrian border to become proxy terrorists. And Avaaz is there to offer support and facilitate the propaganda surrounding the mission in Syria to topple Bashar al-Assad’s government.

The Salafi terrorist cells are given different names depending on their location geographically (such as al-Qaeda, FSA, etc. . . ) so that the idea that they are separate is purveyed to the general public. However, they are subscribing to an extreme form of Islam that is encompassing in Saudi Arabia.

The Salafis being used in Syria are exceptionally violent and adhere to sectarianism with complete abhorrence for the US. This ideal is fostered because it helps to facilitate the psychological mindset necessary for manipulation.

In October it was discovered that the FSA are being armed by Saudi Arabia. The attack in Aleppo was actually funded with ammunition and weaponry from the US-aligned Middle Eastern nation. The FSA denies knowledge of how they came to obtain this shipment from Saudi Arabia; however it is fairly obvious that the Salafi extremists in their country are supporting the US-backed terrorist faction. Saudi officials have also declined comment thinking that refusal to speak will correspond with their ignorance. Yet, Saudi ammunition has been used since the inception of the CIA-trained “rebels” paid for my “foreign aid” from the US and British governments.

Avaaz also showed their support of European Union sanctions imposed onto Syria for the purpose of devastating their economy, impoverishing their citizens and facilitating an uprising that would justify more violent reactions from the CIA-terrorist faction FSA.

Patel believes in using the exponentially growing number of internet users to his advantage with online petitions and propaganda slogans; as well as the ability to syphon donations from ignorant members to the tune of $13.5 million annually and $3 million during fund-raising events. While Avaaz claims to facilitate the individuality of protesters, it uses mob-mentality tactics to create a large online community of people who will defend the organization.

Patel also consults with the UN; the Rockefeller Foundation; the Gates Foundation; globalist-colleges like Harvard University, Oxford University; and CARE International.

In February, Avaaz began a petition against the BDS Movement, a “global movement for a campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel until it complies with international law and Palestinian rights was initiated by Palestinian civil society in 2005.”

BDS supports the efforts of the Palestinian people to be free of the genocidal tyranny imposed over them by the Zionist-controlled Israeli government. And Avaaz is against this fight for freedom. Avaaz’s online petition promised to pressure elected officials in favor of Israeli settlers who were being “discriminated” against by the Palestinian people. The backing of the occupation of Israel in Palestine is foremost to Avaaz.

{And when there comes to them news of security or fear, they spread it abroad; and if they had referred to it to the Apostle and to those in authority among them  who can search out the knowledge of it would have known it, and if it were not for the Grace of Allah upon you and His mercy , you would have certainly followed the shaitan save a few} (An-Nisa 4: 83).
