European Parliament Votes against Net Neutrality*

European Parliament Votes against Net Neutrality*

In a major setback for net neutrality, the European Parliament on Tuesday passed widely-maligned internet regulations without the amendments that rights groups said were crucial to protect free speech, democracy, and innovation online.

Wide loopholes in the rules open the door for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to discriminate against networks, speed up or slow down internet traffic, charge companies for faster loading times, and strip users of protections. The legislation passed 500-163.

“Today, Europe took a giant step away from its vision of becoming a world leader in the digital economy,” said Anne Jellema, CEO of the digital rights group World Wide Web Foundation.

“These weak and unclear net neutrality regulations threaten innovation and free speech. Now, European start-ups may have to compete on an uneven playing field against industry titans, while small civil society groups risk having their voices overwhelmed by well-funded giants.”

Paris-based advocacy organization La Quadrature Du Net called the vote “a profound disillusion for all those who, throughout the years, battled to ensure net neutrality in Europe.”

“Today [members of Parliament] had the chance to stand their ground against the Council and the Commission but they only showed a timid face in front of the threats to abandon the text or prolongation of the negotiations. By voting this incomplete and non-protective text, they sell off citizens’ rights and liberties and they also hamper small and innovative companies, in favour of big telecommunication companies,” said La Quadrature legal and policy analysis coordinator Agnès de Cornulier.

“They also give a bad signal on their weakness, thus endangering all future negotiations.”

Following the vote, the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) will have nine months to develop guidelines for state-based agencies, like Ofcom in the United Kingdom, to implement the new rules.

Those guidelines could help consumers and companies regain some of their power amid the rejection of wider net neutrality protections, advocacy groups said—even if it comes by way of future court rulings on those regulations.

“All is not lost,” Jellema said.

“The European Parliament is essentially tossing a hot potato to the Body of European Regulators, national regulators and the courts, who will have to decide how these spectacularly unclear rules will be implemented. The onus is now on these groups to heed the call of hundreds of thousands of concerned citizens and prevent a two-speed Internet.”

De Cornulier added,

“The task to mend the text’s loopholes left by the MEPs now rests on governments deprived of transparency, at the risk of widening them even more, until Justice intervenes and long lasting judiciary procedures set out an uncertain precedence.”

Thousands Stage anti-Israel Rally in Morocco*

Moroccans set an Israeli flag ablaze during a demonstration in support of the Palestinian people, in Casablanca, on October 25, 2015.

Tens of thousands of protesters have held a massive rally in Morocco’s port city of Casablanca to show their anger at Israel’s aggressive policies toward the Palestinians. The protesters marched down the streets of Morocco’s commercial hub to denounce the policies of the Tel Aviv regime.

The massive rally was organized by a Moroccan Islamic association. Members of political parties also left behind their differences and attended the demonstration to show their support for the Palestinian cause. The protesters carried placards demanding an end to the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinians, and also called on the international community to boycott Israeli products.

The angry demonstrators also burned the flags of Israel to show their fury. They also chanted slogans such as “Death to Israel,” and “We will sacrifice our soul and our blood to you, Al-Aqsa.”

A number of participants were clad in attire in the colours of the Palestinian flag to show their support for the Palestinian people. The participants also vowed to continue their demonstrations in support of the Palestinians.

Tensions in the occupied territories escalated after the Tel Aviv regime in August imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem). The Palestinians are also angry at aggressive Israeli settlers, who frequently storm al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam.

Nearly 60 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds of others injured since the Israeli regime began a harsh crackdown on Palestinians in early October. At least ten Israelis have died as a result of attacks over the past few weeks.

Three Days of Bombing Russia hits 258 IS Targets, no Civilian Casualties*

In three days of operations, the Russian aviation group in Syria has hit 258 targets belonging to the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra terror groups, the Defense Ministry said.

“Over the past three days, the warplanes of the Russian air group have carried out 164 sorties, hitting 285 targets,” Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, said Monday.

In the past 24 hours, 59 sorties were carried out, targeting 94 terrorist sites in the provinces of Hama, Idlib, Latakia, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor.

Konashenkov said a large ammunition dump belonging to the Jabhat al-Nusra terror group has been destroyed in Syria’s Damascus province. The two metallic hangars were razed to the ground as munitions inside them detonated following a direct hit by a Russian bomber.

“Su-25 attack jets have destroyed three fortified points of Islamic State terrorists near the village of Salma in the province of Latakia,” Konashenkov said. “The sites were equipped with bunkers, pillboxes and mortar positions.”

In Aleppo, the Russian planes bombed an Islamic State command centre used by the terrorists to coordinate their actions against the Syrian Army units near the Quaires airport, the spokesman added. In the same region, an Islamic State base equipped with anti-aircraft guns, mortars and heavy machine guns was destroyed in an airstrike.

A video posted on the ministry’s official YouTube channel also showed an airstrike in Hama.

Accusations of Russia “bombing” Syrian hospitals: The incredible expanding lie

The Defence Ministry also denied a report by Human Rights Watch about suspected casualties among Syrian civilians allegedly caused by a Russian airstrike on a hospital.

Konashenkov said that such claims were nothing but “stovepiping,” but are still “carefully monitored and analyzed” by the ministry. Such anonymous, unverified information is released especially for the purpose of being picked up by the Western media, he declared.

Russia launched airstrikes targeting Islamic State and other terror groups in Syria on September 30, following a formal request from President Bashar Assad.

E.U. Takes Countries to Court for not Dipping into Personal Bank Accounts*

E.U. Takes Countries to Court for not Dipping into Personal Bank Accounts*

The European Commission is taking legal action against six European countries, including the Netherlands and Luxembourg, after they failed to implement rules that would allow for depositors to have their cash confiscated.

Six countries will be referred to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) for their continued failure to transpose the EU’s “bail-in” laws into national legislation, the European Commission said last Thursday, according to The Telegraph.

Taxpayers bailed out banks in the first global financial crisis. Depositors will be in the firing line the next time. Photo: AFP

Most E.U. countries, UK, the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand all have plans for bail-ins in the event of banks and other large financial institutions getting into difficulty. It is now the case that in the event of bank failure, personal and corporate deposits could be confiscated.

The referral comes after the E.U. issued a warning against Poland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Romania and the Czech Republic for their non-compliance earlier this year.

The rules – known as the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD) – are designed to stop governments from having to foot the bill for saving banks from going bust by instead forcing savers and deposit holders to foot the bill in an attempt to further protect banks from insolvency.

Brussels will refer six countries to the European Court of Justice over their failure to apply the new, very radical “bail-in” rules. Deposits of less than €100,000 should be protected under the new regime but in reality these limits are arbitrary and would likely be reduced to lower levels in the event of banks being insolvent again in another European and global financial crisis.

In the event of a systemic European banking crisis, however, laws could be changed at the stroke of a pen and “bail-in” mechanisms could become fully operational. Also, the comforting guarantee of €100,000 ($100,000 or £80,000) would likely be reduced in such a crisis.

The era of depositor bail-ins is coming and preparations are in place by the international monetary and financial

Saudis and Israeli’s Stage Hajj Stampede*

Saudis and Israeli’s Stage Hajj Stampede*

By Gordon Duff, Nahed Al Husaini

Dozens of diplomats, scientists and political leaders from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon are missing, presumed dead or kidnapped from Saudi Arabia after this year’s Hajj as part of a joint terror plot by Israel and Saudi Arabia that killed thousands.

Officials sources from both Iraq and Iran are accusing Saudi Arabia, in concert with the security services of the State of Israel, for staging the Mina stampede during this year’s Hajj.  Despite Saudi claims to the contrary, no estimate of the dead and “missing” totals less than 3500 with the current comprehensive list of missing reaching nearly 9000.

High level security sources tell of how Saudi Arabia and Israel screened visa applications months in advance in order to single out targeted individuals.

“From an anonymous security source: “Some were picked up before the Mina incident while others were kidnapped at hotels or the airport.  When the chaos began, teams of Saudi and Israeli security officials disguised as pilgrims equipped small canisters a poisonous gas or liquid, began taking down predetermined victims by the score.”

The bodies of the murdered where picked up from various locations with many dumped like so much dirty laundry with the stampede victims.  From the UK Independent:

“In his bestselling book, Gordon Thomas, author of Gideon Spies: The Secret History of the Mossad, gives a chilling and detailed account of how the Mossad uses Biochemists and genetic scientists in order to develop lethal cocktails as bottled agents of death.

This includes the development of nerve agents, choking agents, blood agents, and blister agents – including Tuban (virtually odorless and invisible when dispensed in aerosol or vapour form), Soman (the last of the Nazi nerve gasses to be discovered which also has a slightly fruity odour and is invincible in vapour format), blister agents (which include chlorine, phosgene and diphosgene, and smell of new-mown grass) and blood agents (including those with a cyanide base).

A report issued today by the European Department for Security and Information in direct consultation with the security services of the Islamic Republics of Iraq and Iran stresses the danger to the region of continued Saudi and Israeli unwillingness to answer for the fate of those now known to be the targets of this act of terrorism.

(DESI) European Department for Security and Information: Saudi Arabia and Israel plotted against Iranian and Iraqi officials in the pilgrimage, What the Iranian reaction would be?

The European Department for Security and Information Secretary General Ambassador Dr. Haitham Bou Said underscores today that the unfortunate ” Mina ” Incident that occurred lately in Saudi Arabia will not come to an end unless the fate of the missing Iranian and Iraqis security officers and diplomats is revealed.

Dozens of high-ranking officials disappeared when they were performing their religious rituals in Mecca. The Saudi authorities claimed that the large number of people were missing as a result of stampede in the pilgrimage makes it impossible for them to account for the missing VIPs.

Among the most important missing Iranians are:

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rukin Abadi, Iranian Ambassaor to Lebanon, Abdullah Zeighami, deputy head of the Intelligence DEPT. affiliated with the Revolutionary guard, Dr Ali Asghar Foldghar, Head of the Research Strategic Centre of the Revolutionary Guards, Ahmad Fheem, Foreign ministry top official, and many others.

Two bodies were found: one belongs to the Iranian Ambassador to Slovenia Mohammad Rahim Aqayyi Boor and the other to the Iraqi General Isamil Hamid Zaer, Head of Crimes Department in the Interior Ministry.

Hassam Amir Abdullahyan, Iranian Foreign Minister Deputy, asked the Saudi authorities to determine the fates of 344 missing Iranians from the Iranian pilgrimage mission.

“The Organization began to collect evidence and testimony, in coordination with other international organizations in order to unearth the truth,” Bou Said stated, adding “there is evidence of an Israeli security apparatus which was inside Saudi Arabia during the Hajj targeting Iranian, Hezbollah, and Iraqi delegates who went to the pilgrimage, to execute secret kidnapping and arrest operations in cooperation with the Saudi Authorities.”

Also, the DESI has documented reports and videos indicating the stampede that killed eight thousand six hundred and thirty-four people (8634) was purposefully staged by Saudi secruity.  A considerable number of the dead were never retrieved and may have been hauled to public landfills instead of receiving required funeral rites.

DESI indicates that additional lists of missing from Iraq and Lebanon’s Hezbollah organization are being withheld for security reasons.

Syrians living inside Syria are not allowed to visit Saudi Arabia even for religious purposes.

Why did Afghanistan Get an Earthquake?*

Why did Afghanistan Get an Earthquake?*

Global Warming and Climate change? Yeah right!

By Katherine Frisk

This is getting so predictable and in your face. What once was a ridiculous notion is now so obvious that you have to be blind, deaf and dumb not to be aware of it.

When I read about the earthquake in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, my first thought was,

Ok, what did they do now? Fail to deliver the opium? Trade in Yuan instead of dollars? Join the AIIB? Sign agreements to be part of the Silk Road project? What now?

I soon got my answer. This from Zero Hedge:

Afghanistan, battered by worsening security, is reaching out to an old ally and patron—Russia—just as the Kremlin is seeking to reassert its position as a heavyweight on the world stage.

President Ashraf Ghani has asked Moscow for artillery, small arms and Mi-35 helicopter gunships for his country’s struggling military, Afghan and Russian officials say, after the U.S. and its allies pulled most of their troops from Afghanistan and reduced financial aid.

The outreach has created another opening for the Kremlin, stepping up the potential for confrontation with Washington. East-West relations are already strained over such issues as Ukraine and Middle Eastern policy.

“Russia is seizing the opportunity,” a U.S. official said.

The Kremlin’s muscular new foreign policy has raised hopes among Afghan politicians that Russia will come back to their country as a friendlier ally in the wake of the Western drawdown, which has seen the U.S. troop level drop to about 10,000 this year, from a peak of about 100,000 in 2010-11.

The last Red Army troops withdrew from Afghanistan in 1989. That war was a national trauma on both sides, ending in defeat for Moscow and the eventual collapse of Afghanistan’s communist government.

Because of that history, direct intervention in Afghanistan would be a very hard sell for the Russian public.

Alexander Mantytskiy, Russia’s ambassador to Afghanistan, said his government is considering the Afghan requests for military assistance, which he said have increased this year following the withdrawal of most U.S. and allied North Atlantic Treaty Organization forces.

“We will provide some assistance, but it doesn’t mean that any soldier from the Russian Federation will be here on Afghan soil,” he said.

“Why should we carry the burden of a problem that was not solved by the Americans and NATO countries?

So there you have it. Games on! Obama has reversed the planned pullout of U.S. troops to that country, if anything he will most probably send in more.

The opium fields are at stake here, and without it billions in profits will be lost. Afghanistan is the world’s largest supplier of heroin that lines the pockets of the warmongers in Washington. Without it they will have to create another war somewhere and go farm somewhere else. I am betting on West Africa. Cameroon is a possibility, maybe Nigeria. Boko Harem is already busy in that part of the world and we have got a “war on terror” to fight as you already well know.

A tsunami like the one in Sumatra, is not do-able in that part of the world. Nor or is a hurricane, like the recent one in Mexico because they are now trading in Yuan. The earthquake in my estimation was a not so friendly nudge because Afghanistan has asked for assistance from the Kremlin.

Global Warming and Climate change? Yeah right!

Thousands Chickens from KFC Farms Confiscated as Mutations Worsen*

KFC’s largest chicken supplier in Springdale, Arkansas was reportedly raided by the FDA on Monday due to suspicions of mass mutations taking place in their chickens. It has been no secret that KFC plumps up their chickens with the use of steroids and hormones in order to create a bigger yield to supply their restaurants around the world. However, the accusations of mutated chickens has been streaming across the Internet for years commonly referred to as a “conspiracy theory.”

Now, with the FDA raid, those accusations are no longer “theories,” but proven fact. In the photos just released, you can see just how “mutated” these chickens have become due to their scientific experiments. Experiments that they were hoping would yield them twice the chicken legs for half the price. Getting four legs per chicken was estimated to bring them an additional $12.5 million in annual revenue. But now, KFC is looking at fines half that amount. If convicted, they can face fines of $7 million, restaurant closures, and possible lawsuits from people whose health may have been affected.
