I’m From Louisiana. Here’s the Flooding Story the Media Should Cover

I’m From Louisiana. Here’s the Flooding Story the Media Should Cover*

By Norbert Michel

As a south Louisiana native who lived through Hurricane Katrina, I have every right to be aggravated with the national news coverage of the state’s latest natural disaster.

Due to massive flooding over the last week, one-third of the state’s parishes (called counties everywhere else) are official federal disaster areas.

The population for those parishes is almost 2 million people. One of the hardest hit areas is Livingston Parish (home to almost 140,000 people), where local officials estimate 75% of the homes are completely destroyed.

And it’s not over. Some rivers haven’t crested yet, and the flood warning has been extended to parishes that haven’t seen any flooding yet. More than a third of the state could see severe flooding.

By comparison, about 70 percent of the 134,000 homes in New Orleans were damaged (not necessarily due to flooding) during Katrina. Other areas of the Gulf Coast were also hit, but the bulk of the damage was in New Orleans and its suburbs.

After around 10,000 people sought shelter in the Superdome (even though everyone had been warned that the facility would not be opened because it was not a shelter), the national media turned the disaster into a national tragedy.

Over a decade later, no matter where I travel, when I tell someone I’m from New Orleans I get questions about Katrina.

Now, with 40% of the state’s population in official disaster areas, there’s hardly a peep out of the national media. But I’m not mad.

I’m proud to be associated—even if only by birth—with what’s going on in Louisiana.

People are coming together and helping each other every day. People with boats—a big number down there—are rescuing people and helping on their own, without anyone asking.

They’ve been dubbed the “Cajun Navy,” and they’re yet another example of a disaster in Louisiana bringing out the best in people. Officials estimate that more than 15,000 people have been rescued, but everyone knows the real number is higher than that.

Many people are frustrated with the lack of national news coverage, and social media has been the best source for figuring out which of your friends and relatives are safe. Some articles have pointed out that the shootings in Baton Rouge and Milwaukee (and Donald Trump) garnered more attention than the flooding, and it’s impossible to argue that the media is covering this disaster the way it covered Katrina.

Maybe it’s just disaster fatigue, or perhaps it really is because there is no racism/terrorism/riot/sick entertainment component. I won’t judge, but it’s clear that a tragedy of much smaller proportion in New Orleans was a bigger story. Who, outside of Louisianans, has heard of Denham Springs or Baker?

Regardless, people should know about what’s happening there. It’s a human spirit story, a great example of people coming together to help each other out. And anyone from—or related to anyone in—these areas in south Louisiana knows better than to expect anything less.

Regular everyday people, resilient to the core, rising to the occasion, and helping out their neighbours may not make for entertaining “news,” but it says much more about human nature than whether Justin Bieber quit Instagram.

Funded by U.S. Latest ‘iconic image’ designed to Demonize Russia and to Keep Syrian Blood Flowing*

By Joe Quinn

Things have not been going well for the U.S. government’s (and friends’) 5-year-long attempt to use proxy terror forces to overthrow the Assad government. The first death-knell came last September when the Russian air force entered the fray to great effect (and applause from all sensible people). The shoot-down of the Russia bomber in November by some NATO fifth-columnist was the Empire’s response to the Russian intervention and was designed to destroy Turkish-Russian relations, making Russia’s air war against Washington’s terrorists more difficult. But Erdogan and Co. were disinclined to ‘take one for the team’ in that way (especially since Turkey was never really allowed to be part of the team) and eventually conceded to Russian demands for a public apology over the shoot-down and restitution to the families.

Faced with such an insolent and uncooperative reality, the State Department pulled out what they thought was their trump card: an old-fashioned coup d’etat in Turkey in mid-July. But that back-fired in a spectacular way, and now looks set to achieve exactly the opposite of what the Empire wanted: hard-wired (or piped) ties between not just Russia and Turkey, but Iran and China too.

In response to these painful setbacks, the Empire seems to be out of ideas, and when they’re out of ideas, they usually fall back on what they do best: telling lies and manipulating public opinion against their chosen enemy. In the most recent example of an ‘iconic image’ being used to further demonize both the Assad government and Russian actions in Syria, a cameraman from the ‘Aleppo Media Centre’ was on the scene after a bomb hit an apartment building in Aleppo. He filmed the now ‘iconic’ image of a boy – Omran Daqneesh – as he was rescued from the rubble and placed in an ambulance.

Recognizing a propaganda opportunity when they see one, within hours most Western media outlets had headlined the image along with emotionally-manipulative screeds penned by media hacks who couldn’t care less about Omran or Syria. When the U.S. military killed 73 civilians in Syria last month, images of the carnage, like the one below, didn’t make the cut, for some strange reason.

But the Omran video was gold, because it could be exploited to falsely demonize Russia and Assad. This is how CNN capitalized on young Omran’s brush with death:

“The truth is that the image you see today is repeated every day in Aleppo,” said Mustafa al Sarouq, a cameraman with the Aleppo Media Centre, who filmed the video. He spoke to CNN’s Nima Elbagir via Skype.

” Every day we cover these massacres and these war crimes in Aleppo. When we go to the places that have been bombed, regime planes circle around and bomb it again to kill rescue workers that are helping civilians. They kill these people who are trying to rescue people.”

Activists blame the Syrian regime and Russia for the bombings. [The] footage shared on Aug. 17 by the Aleppo Media Centre, reportedly show[s] the immediate aftermath of an apparent Syrian government or Russian airstrike in a rebel-held.”

So there ya have it: Russia (or Assad) is responsible for doing that to Omran, and for making you feel so sad, helpless and angry. And according to the “activists” behind the Aleppo Media Centre, Russia and Assad are also responsible for everything bad that happens in Syria (and most other places too). So now that you’ve got that message, with the face of Omran imprinted on your mind for good measure (Time magazine says “it cannot be unseen”), it’s time for you, Western reader, to support your government in sorting out the mess in Syria by funnelling more of your tax dollars to your government’s foreign terrorist proxy army in Syria.

Alternatively, you could do just a little research, and a little critical thinking. You could, for example consider the source of this image and the claim that Russia or Assad is to blame: the Aleppo Media Centre. The Aleppo Media Center is a project of the Syrian Expatriates Organization (SEO). The SEO is what it sounds like, a group of American citizens of Syrian extraction who have their offices on K Street in Washington, D.C., a street that is famous for being the centre of the American political lobbying industry, with numerous think tanks, lobbyists, and advocacy groups based there. The SEO received generous funding over the past few years (to the tune of $4-500,000) from unknown donors, although government agencies like USAID and NED are likely sources. The SEO appears to have played a prominent role in fostering the carnage in Syria from the outset. On their website they list ‘Freedom Messages’ (sort of like ‘Freedom Cookies’) as one of their operations that debuted in 2011:

This was one of SEO’s very first projects. SEO created the “Freedom Message” campaign to inform the Syrian citizens who lived in the areas that were not yet involved in the civic movement at that time, mainly concentrated in the two largest cities of Damascus and Aleppo.

SMS campaigns send in tens of thousands were sent to the cellphone numbers talking about the revolution and its unifying purpose of freedom and prosperity to all Syrians, mainly concentrated in the two largest cities of Damascus and Aleppo. Text message and robo call campaigns reaches about 100,000 people each.

“Robo calls” was where residents of the inactive cities received a call from a local activist or a parent of one of the child victims asking for their support and encouraging them join the public movement against the tyrant regime. Abdulbaset Al Sarout, Dani Abduldayem, the mother of the young victim Hakam Drak, and the activist known for imitating the voice Bashar Al-Asad, Songa Yonga, were all featured on our robo call campaigns.

In June 2012 SEO succeeded in sending 400,000 messages supporting the uprising and a general strike organized in Damascus and Aleppo.

In short, from their cozy offices in Washington, D.C., this gang of quislings did everything they could to whip as many Syrians in Syria as possible into a revolutionary fervour against their elected government. And after 5 years of carnage, they still think this is a good idea. Syria has a population of about 20 million, or 16 times less than the USA. Imagine if a group in Syria were to do the same thing, sending 6.5 million text messages to Americans encouraging them to take to the streets in rebellion, and then encouraging the descent into war by flooding the country with armed groups from abroad. That’s exactly what this group, and many other like it in league with the U.S. government, did. Of course, the U.S. does not allow foreign organizations to exert influence on politics in the USA, but a bunch of what are effectively foreigners are allowed to live in the USA and exert political influence in other countries, as long as it’s in line with the U.S.’ foreign policy objective of total world domination.

Back in 2012, representatives of the “main Syrian opposition organizations”, including the SEO, and members of the so-called Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (CRA) of Miami, signed an “agreement to coordinate their efforts” to undermine the democratically-elected governments of both Cuba and Syria in what was clearly a U.S. State Department/CIA-funded seminar in Miami.

“This offers an extraordinary opportunity: a united front bringing the peoples of Syria and Cuba together to fight for freedom and democracy,” said Silvia Iriondo, the “president” of Mothers and Women Against Repression, an organization funded by USAID. Iriondo’s real name is Silvia Goudie and she is the daughter of a mercenary who took part in the failed CIA-sponsored Bay of Pigs invasion (old habits often stay in the family).

But the SEO is just one of five similar Syrian ex-pat quisling warmonger groups in the USA collectively called The Coalition for a Democratic Syria.

The Coalition for a Democratic Syria is a group of five Syrian-American non-profit organizations working together in Washington, DC to bring about a swift end to the conflict in Syria and support the establishment of a free and democratic Syria. The Coalition for a Democratic Syria is a multi-ethnic, multi-confessional, and non-partisan organization that includes the Syrian American Council, the Syrian Emergency Task Force, United for Free Syria, Syrian American Alliance, and Syrian Expatriates Organization.

The Wikipedia page for the above-mentioned Syrian Emergency Task Force says:

The Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) is a United States-based organization that advocates for the armed overthrow of the government of Syria.

SETF is indirectly funded by the U.S. State Department through contracting firms including Chemonics International and Creative Associates International

Chemonics International is a private “international development” company that works for bilateral and multilateral donors and the private sector to “manage projects in developing countries.” Of course, if there aren’t enough “developing countries”, the U.S. government can always bomb them back to the “developing country” stage. The organization bids primarily on contracts from USAID and “manages projects” (read: gets a foothold in the target country for Western corporations) that cover a variety of technical sectors, including “health”. Perhaps now it makes sense why the board of the Syrian Expatriates Organization is made up of US medical doctors. Perhaps they plan on opening a few for-profit hospitals in Syria once the dust settles on the war they helped to start there. For sure there’ll be plenty of patients available. But let’s take a closer look at SEO’s sister organization, the Syrian Emergency Task Force.

SETF’s executive-director, Mouaz Moustafa, is a former field organizer for the U.S. Democratic National Committee and previously served as executive-director of the Libyan Council of North America. The Libyan Council of North America is one of several U.S. lobby groups that were set up to do exactly what the SETF, SEO, etc., are doing in Syria. So Moustafa comes with some experience. In fact, he’s pretty well connected. I trust that most readers have stumbled across this image at some point:

Friends in low places: Moustafa, jihadis and McCain

That’s Moustafa on the right, with some jihadis behind John McCain on his May 2013 visit to Syria, which was organized by Moustafa and Elizabeth O’Bagy, who also works for the SETF.

“Elizabeth O’Bagy, political director for the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a U.S.-based non-profit providing support to the opposition, said in a phone interview from Turkey that McCain’s office approached the task force two weeks ago about visiting with rebel leaders.

While warmongering for SETF, O’Bagy was also a senior analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, which was founded by Kimberly Kagan, wife of Frederick Kagan, who is the brother of Robert Kagan, the husband of Victoria Nuland. If you don’t know who these people are, you need to look them up (or just watch this documentary). Like many other similar ‘institutes’, the Institute for the Study of War is funded by grants and contributions from large defense war contractors, including Raytheon, General Dynamics, DynCorp and others. So it’s no surprise that the people who establish and work for such institutes are tasked with making the ideological case for war, or are directly involved in inciting wars; they’re being paid directly by weapons manufacturers.

Anyway, O’Bagy was eventually dumped from the Institute for the Creation Study of War because she claimed she had a PhD when she did not. While lying comes easily to such people and could be said to be a sought-after skill by such warmongering ‘think-tanks’, appearances still have to maintained, and there’s no hard feelings. Commenting on her dismissal, Kimberly Kagan stressed that the termination was not related to O’Bagy’s affiliation with SETF. “I had no problem with her affiliation, I approved it.” No doubt. Two weeks after her dismissal from the Institute for the Study of War, O’Bagy was hired as a legislative assistant by John McCain.

Just before her dismissal, O’Bagy’s testimony was used by John McCain and John Kerry as they testified before Congress in September 2013, in an attempt to gain approval to wage all-out war on Syria and Lebanon’s Hizb’allah, the latter at the specific request of the “Syrian rebels”, who must have been paid by the Israelis to include that stipulation. Readers may remember that this was the tense period just before Russia intervened and brokered the deal to destroy Syria’s “chemical weapons” that the U.S. had falsely accused the Assad government of using against civilians (it turned out to be McCain’s rebels who wereand still are – using them).

I’ve just scratched the surface of this den of vipers masquerading as ‘freedom and democracy’ groups, but it gives you an idea of the complex nature of the ramified networks of psychopathic individuals that exist in the USA to promote war on foreign nations. The methods used are many and varied, but they clearly include the use of ‘iconic’ images of dead or injured children to lie to and manipulate Western public so that they will support the continued warmongering that gave rise to the ‘iconic images’ in the first place. It’s a self-perpetuating system, run by psychopaths, fuelled by greed and greased by the blood of dead children in foreign nations.

Turkish Deputy PM Admits That Ankara’s Policy on Syria Caused ‘Many Sufferings’*

What the heck is this supposed to mean, or is this ‘diplomacy’ for the West… you can close your (***ing )borders!

Ankara’s strategy in Syria has been a “source of many sufferings for Turkey today,” the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and the government’s spokesman Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmus said, with the newspaper Hurriyet describing his comments as the “boldest” criticism of Turkey’s foreign policy expressed by a high-ranking Turkish official to date.

Kurtulmus also noted that other stakeholders have been unable to come up with a working mechanism that would stop the bloodshed in the war-torn Arab country.

“Not a single country, including us, has been capable of devising an efficient strategy to resolve the Syrian conflict. I have repeatedly said this for many years. I wish that a working approach was devised earlier. I hope that the solution that Syrian people will accept will be devised soon and that it will not be forced onto the country from outside,” he said.

This process is taking place right now, the deputy prime minister noted, adding that “relations with Russia are important at this stage.”

Kurtulmus also mentioned President Bashar al-Assad, saying that Russia is unlikely to link its strategy in Syria to a single individual. Russian officials have previously said that they had no preconditions with regard to Assad, emphasizing that the Syrian people are the only ones who have the right to decide the fate of their country and chose its leader.

For its part, Turkey’s previous foreign policy strategy towards Syria focused on Assad’s immediate removal from office. The country’s new Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim, has called for a less rigid approach to their neighbouring country, saying that Ankara wanted to foster amiable relations with Syria following a years-long cold spell.

Turkey’s foreign policy U-turn was further highlighted following an unsuccessful coup that saw a group of military officers trying to overthrow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 15.

Earlier this week, Yildirim unveiled a road map to resolve the Syrian crisis that comprised three key components. Firstly, the country must retain its current borders. In other words, the Turkish leadership will make every effort to prevent the Syrian Kurds from gaining greater autonomy. Ankara considers all Kurds, regardless of where they live, a threat to its security and stability.

Secondly, Syria’s future political structure, according to the Turkish prime minister, will not be sectarian in its nature.

“Since there will be no sectarian structure, this also means that Assad will not be there in the long-run,” he said.

Thirdly, Yildirim expects Syrian refugees who fled to other countries to escape the bloodshed to return home. Approximately 3 million Syrians are living in refugee camps in Turkey, with many using it as a transit country on their way to Europe.

U.S. Has Nearly 30,000 Defence Contractors in Afghanistan*

By Jason Ditz

While the Obama Administration has presented its (already-stalled) drawdown in Afghanistan as “ending” the war and bringing the number of US forces down in the country to very small levels, they rarely discuss the substantial number of American defence contractors still in the country.

While the U.S. officially has just 9,000 troops in Afghanistan, they also have some 29,000 contractors stationed around the country. Two-thirds of the contractors are said to be foreign nationals, with the Pentagon saying they are mostly involved in logistics and maintenance for the ongoing war.

The U.S. has long used large numbers of contractors as a way to have more boots on the ground than the officially publicized figures. This has tended to be rough parity between the two forces, however. At the peak of the Afghan War, the U.S. had 88,000 troops and 117,000 contractors.

Now that ratio is more than 3:1, which underscores administration efforts to present the drawdown as far more substantial than it actually has been. The contractors tend to be quite expensive compared to regular ground troops, but also tend to attract much less press coverage.

Ayn Dara and the Syrian Connection

The United States of America was founded on a federated system with small central government, where the individual states had a large degree of autonomy and control in the decision-making process as to the laws that they did or did not want to implement within their own regions. America was the land of opportunity where millions from Europe, the poor, the tired, the huddled masses who, with enough determination and hard work, made a decent life for themselves and their families.

Over the last 70 years since the end of WW2, the government in Washington D.C. has grown to such a degree that the Founding Fathers would not recognize it. Control has been centralized, and by incremental steps the states have lost and are losing more and more control over their own decision-making.

The same can be said of Europe where power has been centralized into the E.U. parliament. In both instances the standard of living for the average middle class person has declined dramatically in the last 20 years, global corporate monopolies have gobbled up every small, medium and large private business enterprise and a large sucking sound has been heard where wealth has vacuumed up to the top and into the pockets of the elites, while those on the ground have been left all the poorer for it.

Both regions have all the signs of becoming dictatorial, fascist police states where the voters aspirations and concerns do not count. As Martin Shultz of the E.U. recently proclaimed following the Brexit referendum:

“It is Not the E.U. Philosophy that the Crowd can Decide its Fate.”

In the USA, voter rigging ensures that the elite in society remain in power, while the will of the people is undermined.

Russia on the other hand under the Soviet Union had total and complete centralized control. But since the fall of the Soviet Union, and especially since Putin came to power in 1999, the Russian Federation has been decentralized, and more and more autonomy has been given to the regions. Along with this move, the government has supported small, medium and large private business enterprise and taken steps to limit global corporate monopolies.

The most glaring example of this in Russia is the ban on genetically modified patented food products. The country has invested in organic food production and provided support for all their farmers. The result is that in the space of two years the country has changed from being a food importer to a food exporter. In this case the vacuuming sound has not moved in the direction of a handful of corporate monopolies but has dispersed and benefited the large majority and contributed towards the GDP of the country as a whole.

But what has this got to do with Greater Israel and two temples?

It is the prototype, the fractal that has played out throughout the centuries and has had a major influence and effect on Western religious, social, economic and political policy.

Zionist Settlers attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Up until recently the world has been brainwashed into believing that Israel is a Judaic, Jewish state as promised to them in the Bible and that centralized control, religious, social, political and economic should reside in Jerusalem with a new temple symbolizing this body and a Jewish Messiah who will rule the world. (Compare to the second and third paragraph of this article.)

Consider this recent report from Press TV:

“Israeli institutions and organizations are reportedly awaiting the regime’s go-ahead for the construction of a so-called “third temple” in place of al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock in the Israeli-occupied Jerusalem al-Quds….Israeli Zionists claim they have the right to build a third temple in line with “scriptural prophecies” to follow the tradition of the first and second ones built in ancient times.”

Over and above the political implications of this story, historians and archaeologists are having a problem with this whole concept, first and foremost because it appears that there never was a first temple neither was “king David” the powerful ruler he is claimed to be. Little to no evidence after 70 years has been found for the building of the first temple, either inside of Jerusalem or in references to it in surrounding countries.

The Armana letters for example, diplomatic correspondence between Ankenaton refer to tribal chiefs at Shechem and in Judea, as well as correspondence with Tushratta in the Mittani kingdom during a period when Joseph and his family were in Egypt and Canaan was an Egyptian protectorate. The Mittani were in alliance with Egypt through intermarriage and through trade.

The concept of a “Greater Israel” historically does not apply to Judea but to Egypt that ruled from the Nile to the Euphrates river, where all peoples within these borders pledged allegiance to the Pharaoh, who was seen as a “god” with a divine right to rule.

By inheritance through the blessing of the firstborn who was designated as the leader of any family, any land promised to Abraham for grazing rights by “god,” who in all likelihood was the Pharaoh of Egypt, by inheritance would have been passed on from Isaac, to Jacob, to Ephraim, Nun and then Joshua, who accordingly founded the twelve tribes of Israel.

These grazing rights would not have been the exclusive property of the tribe of Judah. The agreement was cemented due to Joseph’s marriage to the Egyptian princess Asinath and his high status in the house of the “god” as steward to the king and master of the horse. Due to the family bond that now existed between the royal house of Egypt and Joseph the grazing rights bequeathed to Abraham now became legal tender and land rights, which Joshua the the great grandson of Joseph apportioned to each of the twelve tribes.

I was not surprised during the “Arab Spring” that one of targets of the looting that went on in the Cairo Museum at the time, was the mummies of Yuya and Tuya, who many scholars have identified as the Biblical Joseph and his wife Asinath. The “Exodus,”which is debatable and paints the Egyptians in a negative light might never have happened. The time spent in the wilderness coincides with the battles that were fought between the Egyptians and the Hittites between the rule of the military generals Horemheb and Ramses 11.

It appears that the Hebrews fled into the wilderness in order to escape the battles that raged from the Nile to the Euphrates ending in the battle of Kadesh, during which time Moses and Joshua converted them to the monotheism that they had adopted from Ahkenaten. It is highly possible that the battles recorded in the Bible by Joshua, were in fact the battles fought by the Egyptians against the Hittites across the land of Palestine. Missing objects returned to the Egyptian museum

“The second returned object is one of the 10 missing shabtis of Yuya and Tjuya (JE 68982). It is still in very good condition; it does not require restoration and will be placed on display again immediately, stated Dr. Tarek El-Awady, Director of the Egyptian Museum.”

Unlike the Armarna correspondence, so far nothing similar has been found between the kingdom of Judea during the time of King David and Solomon and the empires that surrounded it.

Many scholars are now debating as to whether these kings as described in the Bible existed in the first place, or if they were the stories of kings from other nations that have been woven into the fabric of the texts. Comparisons with Egyptian texts suggest that many of the passages in Psalms and Proverbs were copied from similar Egyptian poetry during the tie of Amenhotep III.

All the evidence so far points to the first temple never having been built and that the kings of Judea were minor chieftans whose loyalty was subject to the countries that surrounded them. Judea after the split in the kingdom into the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judea, aligned themselves with the Assyrians during the invasions of the Mittani kingdom and later the Northern Kingdom of Israel. The concept of a “Greater Israel” historically does not apply to Judea but to Egypt, and although Abraham and Joseph were given land rights, they were still subjects of the Pharaoh.

With regard to the second temple, as we shall explore further on in this article, far from being in line with the Torah and the religious beliefs of the Israelites, it was a “pagan” temple and an abomination that was rejected by the large majority of religious Hebrews during the 1st century B.C. and the 1st century A.D. If anything they prayed for its destruction. The Dead Sea scrolls found at Qumram 2,000 years later in the 20th century, tell the story of the Righteous Teacher (an Essene) who was murdered by the “wicked priest, “the high priest of the temple.

As the Dead Sea Scrolls have made very apparent, there is another story that has been ignored, maligned, swept under the carpet and at every opportunity wiped from the memory of history. The story of Judah and Levi is only 2/12ths of the story. What about the other 10? According to the Judaic view, the ten tribes of Israel have been conveniently lost and no longer exist, which is a fallacy.

There are Hebrews across the Middle East and around the world who are not Zionists, do not follow the Babylonian Talmud and who remain true to the Torah. There are also Christians and Muslims across the Middle East and around the world who can also trace their decent to these 10 tribes. They are all part of “Greater Israel” across the Middle East as promised to Abraham and now extend internationally. They all belong to a monotheistic religious belief system that was founded by Moses and Joshua, and where Joshua at Mount Gerizim, in Samaria, dedicated the original twelve tribes to the Covenant.

Israel consisted of a federation of states, each with their own autonomy. What joined the nation together was the Covenant.

The firstborn in each family be they male or female (Deborah was one of the first judges of Israel), from each of the twelve tribes, was dedicated to God. They became students of the law and formed part of the individual tribal and national judiciary.

Joshua, rather than becoming a king of Israel was instead inaugurated as a Judge. He became first, but was considered first amongst equals. His bloodline and his inheritance gave him the authority to rule Israel. The blessing of the firstborn in the line of decent went from Abraham Isaac-Jacob-Ephraim-Nun-Joshua. From Jacob’s blessing on Ephraim he inherited the title “firstborn of goddue to Ephraim’s mother Asinath being of the royal Egyptian household and considered a child of the “gods”, while from Joseph he inherited the blessing from Jacob, the corner-stone, the Shepherd of Israel, the vine and a crown amongst his brothers.

According to the Covenant, there was no king but God and this Covenant included the laws of God. The most basic being to honour your mother and your father, do not lie, cheat, steal, kill, interfere in somebody else’s relationship or be jealous of another’s possessions. Joshua was the prototype of what became the legends of Arthur and the stories of the Knights of the Round Table. Joshua and the twelve tribes. All monotheistic religions are based on the Covenant and the first commandment, that you should love the Lord your god above all others and worship none before him. This excludes a high priest, a king and a dictator who conceptually fall into the category of an idol. As do all idols, animate and inanimate.

The Covenant, the laws of Israel were housed in the Ark which was kept at Shiloh in the land of Ephraim, in the Tabernacle which was the tent of meeting.

Jacob’s prophesy that the sceptre would pass from Judah when Shiloh came, was now fulfilled. The tabernacle was later replicated throughout Israel either in tent form or in stone with copies of the law kept in what later became to be known in Christianity as the “altar.” On the Sabbath the Judges, also known as the Rabbis would read from these scrolls to the people gathered in the tent of meeting which later developed into the synagogues.

The only form of centralized control occurred on the Feast of Tabernacles (Booths) when the people of Israel would ascend Mount Gerizim in remembrance their wandering in the wilderness and when Joshua dedicated them to the Laws of Moses on this mountain and established the Kingdom under a Judiciary with a Federation of twelve tribes. The Sabbath was celebrated in the home with prayers and blessings said by the mother of the house at sunset and the next day in the local tabernacle where the law was read by the Rabbis to the congregation.

The Passover was also celebrated in the home as well as in the Tabernacle. The lamb sacrificed and burnt on the altar with the whole community gathering round, is the equivalent today of a Sunday barbeque with family and friends. It was and still is, a family based religion in conjunction with the reading of the Torah in a localized community structure.

Due to corruption, a lack of oversight and general irresponsibility on behalf of all the population, the system began to fall to apart. The solution, they decided, was obvious. Rather than take responsibility for themselves and observe the Covenant, they abdicated their independence, demanded a king and handed over control to a centralized body.

Rather than save themselves, Israel demanded a saviour to come and rescue them. And so the Covenant was broken, and has been broken ever since. It was from this time in history that the tribe of Judah, the family of David, claimed sole land rights over all of “Greater Israel” which according to the Bible and as partitioned out by Joshua, did not extend from the Nile to the Euphrates river, but was as you see it on the map in this article.

This “Jewish” sentiment continues today to the exclusion of all the ten tribes, who are now commonly grouped together as the Palestinians though they are also the descendants of many other nations: Samaritans, Torah Jews, Christians and Muslims who can be found in Egypt, Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Greece, as well as being dispersed around the world over a 2,700 year period.

Samuel, the last Judge of Israel had this to say about the concept of a centralized body of authority.

(Again compare to paragraphs two and three of this article and the current economic situation in the E.U. with austerity measures and tax payers money going to line the pockets of the banking system as well as in the USA with the “too big to fail banks” that have robbed the American people of tax money that should have been spent on affordable education up to university level, affordable healthcare, a police force with an IQ above 60 and affordable transport systems with fast rail and no toll roads.)

“And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.

And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.”

This centralized kingdom in Jerusalem under the authority of the High Priests who were now restricted and limited to those born into the tribe of Levi only, and no longer the firstborn from each of the twelve tribes making up the Judiciary, did not last for very long. Barely two generations.

The ten tribes in the northern part of the country soon revolted and broke away forming the Northern Kingdom of Israel and separated themselves from the southern Kingdom of Judea, now ruled by the line of David and the Levite high priesthood. Jerusalem established temple worship as opposed to the Tabernacle with an exclusive priesthood that was autonomous and the Holy of Holies only accessible to this individual in secrecy without openness and transparency before the whole community.

During the Protestant Reformation a similar split can be equated with a break from the centralized control of the Vatican and the high priest who is considered “infallible” and a law unto himself, as well as European countries moving towards Nation Statehood and the deposing of the royal families from their previously held position of autocratic and absolute control under the dictum of a “divine right to rule.”

In the 21st century this can be compared to the Brexit vote where Britain left the E.U. as well and many other countries in Europe who want to opt for independence due to the political and economic corruption in the central body as well as laws that have been imposed on them that are contrary to their national identity and particular cultural customs. One size does not fit all. In “Europe Has Two Options: Revolution Or Elections,” Charles Gave writes:

“Mervyn King, the former governor of the Bank of England, wrote in his recent book, The End of Alchemy, that European leaders pushed for the adoption of the euro as a single currency knowing that it would cause an economic disaster in Southern Europe. The idea was that the impact of weakened economies would force national politicians to accept “reforms” imposed by Brussels. Put simply, Lord King argues that these elites consciously organized a huge decline in living standards in the expectation that it would undermine the legitimacy of local politicians. The problem is that most regular people (rightly) believe that their state is the best guarantor of their society being able to “live together,” which is the basic contract binding a nation.”

When the Assyrians invaded the kingdom of Israel, the kingdom of Judah sat on their laurels and did not help to defend them, they were complicit in this genocide because it suited their long-term objectives. Judah and the Levite priesthood planned to annex the whole of Israel and take possession of all title deeds. When the Hebrews fled to Judea for help, they were treated like slaves and persecuted. (See Jeremiah 31-36.)

Many of these Hebrews then fled to Egypt as did Jeremiah after the Babylonians invaded Judea. A group of them finally settled in the south of Egypt on the island of Elephantine where they built a Tabernacle of stone.

They worked as mercenaries for the Egyptians against the invading Assyrians and later helped to protect the southern borders in what is today called Aswan. They were resident on the island from the time of the Assyrian invasion in approximately 600 B.C until the Persians left Egypt in 399 B.C.

For the most part there was no acrimony between the Hebrews and the Egyptians who worshiped Khnum, the Ram headed potter “god” who made people from clay on the potter’s wheel. Monotheism after all, was an Egyptian concept conceived by Akhenaton and adopted by Moses and Joshua, including the ten commandments which were copied and duplicated from the “Egyptian Coming Forth of Day.” Their “god” was similar to the Egyptian Amen-Ra. And Hebrew prayers ended with the word Amen. Their ancestor Joseph had also once been part of the royal household.

These Hebrews came from the northern Kingdom of Israel and escaped with the Ark of the Covenant. They installed it in their newly built temple on Elephantine island. Again this would have not been a cause for acrimony between the Egyptians and themselves. Egypt had for many centuries carried statues of the “gods” in similar Arks when transporting them from one venue to another, Horus sailing down the Nile once a year to meet the goddess Hathor is one example, or carrying them ahead of an army in battle. Arks are also found in Egyptian tombs that housed their “gods” to accompany the king on his journey through the night sky and towards rebirth.

That the Hebrews housed their “god” in an Ark and installed their Ark in the temple, was totally compatible with Egyptian religious custom. Where they did finally clash in later years was during the Passover festival. The Egyptians objected to them sacrificing a lamb on the altar of the Tabernacle which they saw as a representation of Khnum their ram “god,” and symbolic of the astrological age of Aries, the ram.

But whether this was the cause of the acrimony or whether the cause was the expansion of the temple of Khnum which resulted in part of the Tabernacle being demolished is anyone’s guess. When the Egyptians did allow them to rebuild the Tabernacle temple, it was on condition that they no longer sacrificed animals but only offered incense, wheat and the first fruits of the harvest on their altar. Throughout history the Egyptians, unlike the Canaanites in Gehenna or the Babylonians, were not known for blood sacrifice in either human or animal form. In all likelihood, it was an Egyptian high priest (the Lord) who convinced Abraham not to sacrifice his own son to “god.” (Moloch) Here is one example of many of Egyptian influences. Archaeologists Unearth 3,000-Year-Old Egyptian Artefacts In Israeli Cave:

“Archaeologists, working in an underground cave in southern Israel, found 3,000-year-old Egyptian artefacts left behind by robbers…“Egyptian authority was not only manifested in political and military control, but was a strong cultural influence that contributed to shaping society,” Dr. Amir Golani from IAA said, according to the Jerusalem Post, adding: “Along with an administration of Egyptian officials in Israel, a group of the local elite evolved in the country who adopted many of the Egyptian customs and their artistry.

“The investigation of the cave and the finds is still in its early stages, and upon completing the treatment of the hundreds of objects that were exposed, it will be possible to add important information regarding Egypt’s influence on the population of the Land of Israel in the biblical period,” Golani said.”

Again we see Egyptian influence on Hebrew religious belief and customs. Blood sacrifice on the altar was abandoned and in its place incense and first fruits adopted, as was monotheism and the ten commandments adopted in the time of Moses and Joshua. The Essenes and the early Christians in the 1st century B.C and the 1st century A.D also abandoned blood sacrifice, which was a cause for acrimony between them and the high priests of the temple in Jerusalem. The temple priests made a lucrative living selling animals for their altar and getting free meals in the bargain. Abandoning animal sacrifice would have been a blow to the temple coffers.

Jerusalem in turn has a long history of blood sacrifice going way back to before the time of Abraham. It is situated in the “valley of the dead,” Gehenna, Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which is commonly known as “hell.” It was where the Canaanites would burn their sons and daughters to Moloch. Judah married the Canaanite Tamar, and it is not surprising to find that during the reign of the kings of Judah, during the time of Jeremiah, they still sacrificed their children to fire. (Jer. 7:31, 19:2-6)

But the most important part of this story revolves around the rebuilding of the Tabernacle on Elephantine Island after part of it was demolished by the Egyptians to make way for the expansion of Khnum’s temple.

The papyri discovered on the island is most informative. This from Wikipedia:

“The “Petition to Bagoas” (Sayce-Cowley collection) is a letter written in 407 BCE to Bagoas, the Persian governor of Judea, appealing for assistance in rebuilding the Jewish temple in Elephantine, which had recently been badly damaged… by a segment of the Elephantine community.

In the course of this appeal, the inhabitants of Elephantine speak of the antiquity of the damaged temple:

‘Now our forefathers built this temple in the fortress of Elephantine back in the days of the kingdom of Egypt, and when Cambyses came to Egypt he found it built. They (the Persians) knocked down all the temples of the gods of Egypt, but no one did any damage to this temple.”

The community also appealed for aid to Sanballat I, a Samaritan potentate, and his sons Delaiah and Shelemiah, as well as Johanan ben Eliashib. Both Sanballat and Johanan are mentioned in the Book of Nehemiah, 2:19, 12:23.

There was a response of both governors (Bagoas and Delaiah) which gave the permission to rebuild the temple written in the form of a memorandum:

“Memorandum of what Bagohi and Delaiah said to me, saying: Memorandum: You may say in Egypt … to (re)build it on its site as it was formerly…”.

They appealed to the Samaritan potentate for help and not to Jerusalem and the construction of the temple did not follow the design of the temple in Jerusalem, but of the Tabernacle that Joshua installed at Shiloh on the land designated to the tribe of Ephraim and once the spiritual centre of the whole of Israel housing the Ark of the Covenant. This from Steven G Rosenberg:

“As in descriptions of the Wilderness Tabernacle and the Solomonic Temple, there were probably vessels for ritual washing (Exod 30:18) and space for tethering animals. Being so closely located within the residential area, it is possible that the laity participated in the ritual within the temple site, as they did in the shrine at Shiloh (1 Sam 1:12), and therefore there were several doorways to the courtyard. This, of course, had not been the case in the Temple of Jerusalem, whose inner precincts were reserved for the priests and the Levites alone. ”

The implications are profound. Firstly the authority of the Northern Kingdom now under the control of Sanballat I, a Samaritan potentate was deferred to as opposed to Jerusalem and the Levite priests; secondly that the construction was in the design of the Tabernacle and not the temple in Jerusalem and thirdly due to its design everyone participated and nobody was excluded as they were in the Jerusalem temple where the inner precincts were reserved for the exclusive use of the Levite priesthood. This is in accordance with Joshua and the firstborn of all the tribes who were dedicated to the Lord and became judges and rabbis as opposed to the law being centralized and controlled by the high priests of the tribe of Levi. (Again please refer to the opening paragraphs at the beginning of this article.)

But what of the temple in Jerusalem? After the Jews returned from Babylon the acrimony between the Northern Tribes of Israel and the southern tribes of Judea and Levi continued. This from Wikipedia:

Sanballat “is best known from the Book of Nehemiah, which casts him as one of the chief opponents of the Jewish governor Nehemiah during the latter’s efforts to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and carrying out his reforms among the Jews. In Jewish tradition, he was called “the Horonite,” (another possible “the Harranite”) and was associated with Tobiah the Ammonite and Geshem the Arabian. His home was evidently at Samaria.

According to Magen (2007) he appears to have been the scion of a veteran Samaritan family of the Israelite remnant originating in Horon, perhaps to be identified with the village of Hawara at the foot of Mount Gerizim.

According to Yitzakh Magen’s reconstruction, he was commander of a garrison force who rose to be appointed governor of Samaria, the first of the Israelites to achieve this rank, sometime prior to Nehemiah’s return from exile, and arrival in Judea in 444 BCE. In order to unite Samaria and its populations, he thought a sacred site was necessary.

The Levite priesthood had migrated to Judea, and the priests of Baal were idolatrous, and he chose from tradition Mount Gerizim, over whose site he chose a high priest from a noble family in Jerusalem, a grandson of Eliashib, to preside, and to whom he gave his own daughter in marriage. He established a temple to YHWH on Mount Gerizim, over which his own descendants, as born into priestly blood, could minister. Josephus relates that many Israelites married to Samaritans moved to Samaria, causing much bewilderment in Jerusalem.”

There is another possibility to add into this mix. That the “Jews” who returned to Jerusalem were not “Jews” at all, but Babylonian converts who were promised land in Judea and the city of Jerusalem. Babylonians, in order to circumvent and save themselves from Persian retribution took on a “Jewish” identity and brought with them “pagan” temple worship along with it usury which was against the laws of the Torah.

They also brought with them the story of Esther, which is a Judaic version of the worship of Ishtar. The book of Esther was not found in the Dead Sea Scrolls and was also not included in the Samaritan texts. This being the case, it would not be surprising that the Israelites married to Samaritans moved to Samaria and left Jerusalem where a corrupted form of their religion was starting to take form.

According to Almonitor:

“Both temples — the one in Jerusalem and the one on Mount Gerizim — were built-in accordance with pagan [structural] traditions that were accepted at that time period. There is an area open to all, inside of which is a section permitted only to the priests, and a third inner “holy of holies” section. Only the high priest is allowed to enter the inner sanctum, and only once a year. Although no remnants remain from the structure, the entrance gates and the western wall of the holy site survived. Thus, it seems that the Samaritans have their own “western wall.” Twelve large stones survived from the wall, and they believe that these are the 12 stones on which the Israelites stood when they crossed the Jordan River to the Holy Land after 40 years of wandering in the desert. This large wall of stones is the Samaritans’ holiest site.”

We have:

  1. Pagan temples.
  2. Inner sanctum reserved for the high priest.

3 Twelve large stones where the Israelites stood when Joshua dedicated them to the Covenant.

The temples are considered to be pagan in design because they do not resemble the Tabernacle as the temple on the island of Elephantine did. Instead they resemble Solomon’s Temple, which by inference here is regarded as “pagan.” The second temple built-in a pagan design both in Jerusalem and on Mount Gerizim.

Was the first temple in Jerusalem a pagan temple to start with? It was apparently built in an era when Israel became centralized, abandoned the Covenant and installed a king and high priesthood of the tribe of Levi which differs from the Tabernacle temple that embraced the whole community. These two temples were built according to the design given for “Solomon’s temple” as described in the Biblical texts, which this article infers was “pagan.”

Again we are hit with a conundrum. No archaeological evidence has yet been found for the building of the first temple in Jerusalem. This could be due to one of two factors.

  1. Either it was never built and the texts referring to it and Solomon were copied from Egyptian texts, which leads us to Amenhotep III, or
  2. It was completely destroyed right down to its foundations and nothing remained. No evidence, no proof, means no legal claim to the temple Mount.

Which leads us to the next obvious clue.

If it was completely destroyed, all its treasure, gold, the Menorah and the Ark of the Covenant would not have been left behind or destroyed but would have been carted off by the Babylonians. Which leads us to Iraq in the 20th and 21st century and the ongoing war and pillage of antiquities that has taken place for over 26 years since George Bush senior declared war on that country in 1991. If since the end of WW2 no evidence for the first temple has been found in Jerusalem in order to justify rebuilding it, then other evidence needs to be found for its existence, and the obvious place to look would be in Iraq.

But nothing has been found. No texts, no artefacts and certainly not the Ark of the Covenant or the whole world would have heard about it by now. Nothing has been unearthed referring to it in the sands of Iraq.

What has the war in Syria been about for the last five years other than a land claim for “Greater Israel” and securing the Golan Heights in contravention of resolution 242?

Not only does Assad stand in the way of these objectives but so does something else.

Isaiah 17 clearly describes Israel as being Ephraim and Damascus and that total destruction will fall on those who have attacked not only Israel but their capital city, which has been host to the tribes of Israel, the early Christians and Muslims. But more than that, Syria and Damascus have been host to the Mitanni Kingdom, a kingdom that once incorporated Syria and Armenia and that was in alliance with Egypt during a critical period in history from the time of Abraham until the Assyrian invasion of the whole of Israel.

Due to their alliance with Egypt, Egyptian religious, social and political influence stretched from the Nile to the Euphrates river and this would have included their prose, poetry, texts, artefacts and art work.

Jacob married the Syrian Rachel and their son Joseph married an Egyptian princess. Their great-grandson Joshua founded Israel. The Egyptians had two major influences on both the Mitanni and the Hebrews. Temple building. The Tabernacle temple which housed “god” and protected the Ark of the Covenant and the “pagan” Syrian temples built by the Mitanni.

But lets return to the 21st century. A quote from a recent article by Steven Sahiounie via American Herald Tribune, “The True Story Of How War Broke Out In Syria:”

“The CIA agents running the Deraa operation from their office in Jordan had already provided the weapons and cash needed to fuel the flames of revolution in Syria. With enough money and weapons, you can start a revolution anywhere in the world. In reality, the uprising in Deraa in March 2011 was not fuelled by graffiti written by teenagers, and there were no disgruntled parents demanding their children to be freed. This was part of the Hollywood style script written by skilled CIA agents, who had been given a mission: to destroy Syria for the purpose of regime change.”

How many of these agents were and are MOSSAD? How many of these so call Syrian Rebels have been assisted on the Golan Heights by Israel and treated in Israeli hospitals? There is something else in Deraa. A temple. A Temple that resembles the description given in the Bible for “Solomon’s Temple.”

Ain Dara is based on a unique ground-plan that was inherently Syrian and in territory that was part of the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Mitanni kingdom. As yet, no such temple has been found in the south, and no such temple has to date been found within the precincts of Gehenna/ Jerusalem. According to John Moson:

A stunning parallel to Solomon’s Temple has been discovered in northern Syria. The temple at ‘Ain Dara has far more in common with the Jerusalem Temple described in the Book of Kings than any other known building.

Like Solomon’s Temple, the ‘Ain Dara temple was approached by a courtyard paved with flagstones. A large chalkstone basin used for ceremonial purposes stood in this courtyard. (A large basin was also placed in the courtyard of the Jerusalem Temple [1 Kings 7:23–26].) At the far end of the open courtyard, the temple stood on a 2.5-foot-high platform made of rubble and limestone and lined with basalt blocks engraved with lions, sphinxes and other mythic creatures. A monumental staircase, flanked on each side by a sphinx and two lions, led up to the temple portico. The four basalt steps, only three of which survive, were decorated with a carved guilloche pattern, which consists of interlacing curved lines. The building itself was covered with rows of basalt reliefs of sphinxes, lions, mountain gods and large clawed creatures whose feet alone are preserved. ”

Again in spite of the war in Syria, the destruction of their antiquities, the damage done to their ancient temples, no documentation has been found, no correspondence between the Kings of Judea and the surrounding nations, no artefact and no evidence of a temple built in Jerusalem according to the dimensions given in the Biblical texts or of the whereabouts of the treasures of that temple and the Ark of The Covenant in particular. There are many who think that there never will be. In every ancient civilization other than Judea, archaeological evidence, textual references and the remains of temples back up historical and religious records. The temple in Jerusalem so far has no such reference either inside of Jerusalem or outside of it.

Unless something emerges in the future, the conclusion that we have to come to is that the texts were either Egyptian describing an Egyptian temple during the time of Amenhotep III that was situated in Northern Syria, as the poetry and prose of Proverbs and Psalms suggests, or that the temple was Syrian built by the Mitanni and by comparison with the Tabernacle erected at Shiloh, was considered to be “pagan” by the Hebrews and not in keeping with the Covenant.

There is a very strong possibility that the Ark of the Covenant was never installed inside of it. And if there was an Ark of any type, it was the house of the “god” who was worshiped in the Syrian temple, similar to the Egyptian Arks that housed their gods and was not necessarily the repository of the ten commandments or the monotheistic god of Moses and Joshua. All things considered so far, the Ark of the Covenant was never in the temple in Jerusalem. It was kept in the Tabernacle temple in the hills of Ephraim and after the Assyrian invasion was transported to the island of Elephantine. The Ark never returned to Israel nor was it installed in the “second temple,” built in Jerusalem. This would have been considered sacrilege

In the first century A.D. a man called Joshua-Jesus, the son of Joseph, the “son god,” who came from Nazareth in the Northern Kingdom of Israel, who referred to himself as the corner-stone, the Shepherd, the vine and was a crown amongst the twelve disciples, entered Jerusalem and damned the money lenders and the temple.

He said that they had turned his “father’s house” into a den of thieves and that the temple would be destroyed right down to its foundations. Which it was by 70 A.D. Like the Essenes and the Samaritans he was opposed to the “pagan” temple cult, the money lenders and the sacrificial blood of animals that ran throughout the temple precincts. Nine points to note.

  1. Jesus never taught in the temple. He taught in the synagogue and on the mount, in all likelihood Mount Gerizim.
  2. He never sacrificed or spilled the blood of animals.
  3. He had twelve Apostles who represented all the twelve tribes of Israel and was betrayed by Judah.
  4. He taught as a Rabbi and was persecuted by the Levite priesthood who were of the opinion than only the tribe of Levi was entitled to this office and allowed into the inner sanctum of the temple .
  5. He accuses the Levite priests of “having the keys to the kingdom,” but they let no one in and do not go in themselves.” In other words, restricting the priesthood to the tribe of Levi and the Holy of Holies, being the Torah and the law and the prophets, to the sole discretion and control of the High Priest, which contravenes the gathering at the Tabernacle.
  6. He never called himself “the king of the Jews,” or the “king of Israel.” If anything like Joshua before him, he ran into the hills when the people wanted to make him a king and he turned the devil down in the wilderness when offered all the kingdoms of the world. To do otherwise would have been breaking the Covenant.
  7. He was put to death by a system that was centralized and controlled by a High Temple priest called Caiaphas, a King called Herod and a military general called Pilate. It was a miscarriage of the law and justice. He was detained without trial, falsely accused, did not have due process and no witnesses to speak on his behalf, was tortured and put to death. According to the Torah, he was allowed due process and witnesses to speak on his behalf. He was denied his legal rights by the Sanhedrin.
  8. Early Christians, including Jesus, were Hebrews who kept the Covenant, did not spill the blood of animals and preached Genesis 1, where all are made in the image of god. Early Christian women were Apostles and blessed the bread and the wine as they did once a week at every Sabbath meal.
  9. The first Bishop of the early Christian church was James the Righteous, the brother of Jesus who in the opening paragraphs of his epistle makes no mention of the “King of the Jews” but instead says:

“James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.”

The religious, social and political implications behind the conflicting architectural structure of a federated community based Tabernacle where the law and the Judiciary is the highest authority; and the centralized Temple of High Priest and king have had far-reaching implications over the last 2,000 years in all the three monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, never more so than in the opening years of the 21st century.

The current political system in the Zionist State of Israel is a fascist, racist, police state and a far cry from the founding fathers of Moses and Joshua. Many of the “Jews” who returned to Judea 2,400 years ago were Babylonian “converts” surviving the Persian conquest who added their own particular Sumerian texts into the Bible as we know it today. After the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in 69 A.D. they returned to Babylon and wrote the Babylonian Talmud which contracts the Torah and the earlier Palestinian Talmud. They were not Israelites.

After WW2 many “Jews” who returned to Judea and have done so into the 21st century are not Israelites, they are Khazars from Eastern Europe and Russia who converted to Babylonian Talmudic Judaism. The persecution of the Palestinians and the theft of their land in order to bring about “Greater Israel” under a Judaic Jewish body along with the rebuilding of yet another pagan temple runs counter to the true history of Israel and is a covert invasion as it was 2,400 years ago.

Title deed to the land of Israel was inherited by Joshua, not Judah, and the remnants today of the Joseph tribes being Ephraim and Manasseh are Palestinians who are Samaritans, Torah Jews, Christians and Muslims. Not surprisingly one of the main targets of all “terrorist” activity throughout the Middle East during the Arab Spring since 2011 has been Christian communities who are some of the oldest in the world, many of their families going back to the 1st century A.D. Central to their belief is Joshua/Jesus, the son of Joseph, the “son god,” who came from Nazareth in the Northern Kingdom of Israel, who referred to himself as the corner-stone, the Shepherd, the vine and was a crown amongst the twelve disciples.

It is not surprising then that the Babylonian Talmud condemns him to boil in excrement for all eternity.

Through it all ancient historical records continue to be destroyed by fanatics across the Middle East, Jews, Christians and Muslims, who want to obliterate any evidence that could prove that their assumptions on their own religious bias might be invalid. Academics and Archaeologists Fight to Save Syria’s Artifacts

“In 2011, after three decades of working in Syria, the archaeologist Glenn M. Schwartz was unable to return to his dig at the Bronze Age city of Umm el-Marra. The intensifying civil war had made work in the country impossible.

Like many archaeologists of the Middle East, Mr. Schwartz, a professor at Johns Hopkins University, is watching the news from the region with deep concern and, he said, a feeling of impotence.

“It’s heartbreaking to see what’s happened in Syria in terms of cultural heritage and more so for the country at large,” he said.

The upheavals and conflicts sweeping the Middle East in recent years have caused untold human suffering, and they have resulted in deep losses to the heritage of the region.”

This evidence is essential for the whole human race. Without it we could well devolve into yet another dark age of ignorance, slavery, inequality, corruption and servitude to a centralized body in the form of a uni-polar, fascist world order, as was the temple in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago.

These people to get out and experience real life…

By Sorcha Faal

[Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]

A series of astounding, and often contradictory, reports emanating from the Security Council (SC), and circulating throughout the Kremlin today, show that a chasm has been created among many ministries (especially within the military and intelligence communities) due to President Putin’s “order/decree” to let the Obama regime know that the Federation was not only in control of all of Hillary Clinton’s “missing/disappeared” emails, but also of all her telephonic communications too.

According to these reports, and as best as we are able to compile them, late last week an intense “battle/conflict” erupted in the Security Council between Sergei Ivanov, President Putin’s chief administer, and Anton Vaino, deputy chief of staff, over what to allow the Obama regime to know about the Federation’s possessions of Hillary Clinton emails and recorded telephone calls—that number in the tens-of-thousands and are currently under the control of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).

Sergei Ivanov (left) President Putin (center) Anton Vaino (right)

What Ivanov was advocating, these reports continue, were that these “vital state captures” remain “hidden/secreted” by the SVR as they were invaluable for “future use/construction” (blackmail?), while Vaino advocated letting the Obama regime know the full extent of them as a means to prevent a global war he fears would destroy the “collective consciousness” of our planet.

Critical to note about Vaino, as these reports detail, is that he’s a devout follower of the principals that were advocated by Vladimir Vernadsky called the “Noosphere” that is the third in a succession of phases of development of our Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life).

In order to assess where our Earth was in this development, these reports explain, Vaino, in 2012, published his groundbreaking scientific paper titled “Capitalization of the Future” wherein he detailed his invention of the “Nooscope” to measure the “Noosphere”—but that the U.S. propaganda media called a “strange pseudo-scientific text that follows in an almost impenetrable blend of quasi-mystical language and academic jargon, mish-mashing contemporary economic concerns with transcendental philosophy and promises to be able to read the “code of the market” and describe a new way of being, made possible by the authors’ creation”.

Following Vaino’s 2012 invention of the “Nooscopethat studies the collective conscience of mankind and registers, among other things, things that can’t be seen, these reports continue detailing, President Putin authorized the global deployment of a network of Vaino’s “spatial scanners” to monitor and register changes in the “biosphere”—the results of which were presented before the Security Council this past Friday (12 August).

Immediately after Vaino’s presentation of his “Nooscope” findings before the Security Council, these reports continue, President Putin shockingly dismissed Sergei Ivanov as his chief of staff and replaced him with Vaino.

To what occurred next after Vaino was made Putin’s chief of staff, and as best we’re able to ascertain from these many reports, the Aerospace Defence Forces/Space Forces (ADF/SF) “collaborated” with China’s National Space Science Centre (NSSC) to place aboard the Quantum Experiments at Space Scale (QUESS) satellite an “unknown/unspecified” large amount of Federation intelligence “objects”—afterward with it being launched into space and becoming the world’s first “hack-proof” quantum-communications satellite.

Also, and what these reports appear to show was a coordinated effort among various Federation and Chinese intelligence and military ministries, just prior to the launching of the QUESS satellite, a previously unknown computer hacking group calling itself the “Shadow Brokers” offered to the highest bidder the “hacking tools” used by the U.S. National Security Agency’s (NSA) most secretive organization known as the “Equation Group”.

As the “Shadow Brokers” were spreading their news of the “Equation Group” “hacking tools”, these reports continue, a new batch of Hillary Clinton’s Democratic Party secret emails were released too and the NSA itself was attacked shutting this powerful American intelligence organization down for nearly an entire day.

To the fullest meaning of all of these events, and as these reports detail, the truest “purpose/meaning” of them was described by Edward Snowden who called them “a warning to the United States”—especially as these “Equation Group” “hacking tools” put up for sale by the “Shadow Brokers” are specifically designed to capture and record even the most secretively encrypted telephone conversations, and that NSA whistleblower William Binney, in 2014, admitted that the US was doing on an unprecedented global scale.

With the SVR having previously, in 2014, proved their knowledge of the NSA’s “hacking tools” in their using them to capture the secure conversation of the now infamous Fuck the EU” phone call made by US diplomat Victoria Nuland (who led Hillary Clinton’s overthrow of the Ukrainian government) these reports warn, President Putin’s and Vaino’s “master plan” to reveal to the Obama regime the full extent of what the Federation has may be a “step beyond/too far”.

And in an apparent concession to those in the Security Council fearing the Obama regime’s and Hillary Clinton’s reaction with their now knowing the catastrophic information the Federation now possesses against them, these reports conclude, President Putin, though still supporting Vaino, nevertheless ordered the immediate building of dozens of underground bunkers capable of withstanding atomic blasts should the Obama regime and Hillary Clinton “react with terror” against the Federation as many in the Kremlin fear that they will.

[Note: Many governments and their intelligence services actively campaign against the information found in these reports so as not to alarm their citizens about the many catastrophic Earth changes and events to come, a stance that the Sisters of Sorcha Faal strongly disagree with in believing that it is every human beings right to know the truth.  Due to our missions conflicts with that of those governments, the responses of their ‘agents’ has been a longstanding misinformation/misdirection campaign designed to discredit us, and others like us, that is exampled in numerous places, including HERE.]

[Note: The word Kremlin (fortress inside a city) as used in this report refers to Russian citadels, including in Moscow, having cathedrals wherein female Schema monks (Orthodox nuns) reside, many of whom are devoted to the mission of the Sisters of Sorcha Faal.]

Knowledge of Life*

Knowledge of Life*

By Credo Mutwa

We must accept one simple fact:
The Earth, or any other planet for that matter, is a living, breathing organism.

Yin-YangA planet means life. Before you can have a planet, you have got to have life and planets are living bodies, they have got to be. Even those which are seemingly dead like the moon were once alive and still have a chance of becoming alive.

The universe is possible. In other words, the universe is a great possibility, where anything and everything has the right to happen and will. Nothing is impossible; nothing is unhappenable, because creation is not a static thing. It is an ongoing dynamic thing which keeps on happening.

First of all there are forces which act on matter the moment it is extruded into our universe, because matter is not native to our universe. If matter was native to our universe, it would not form spheres and spheroids like it does.

There is absolutely no reason why stars should exist, why planets should exist and why these heavenly bodies should be round. A flat planet, a disc-shaped world is possible, but it has to be a sphere. Why? Because while it is still in a liquid state there are forces which attack it and force it to defend itself, like a drop of water on a hot stove. If you open a pot and moisture under the lid falls onto the stove, it forms tiny globules which spin very rapidly and spin and spin, faster and faster, as they grow smaller and smaller.

Only Allah Knows what tomorrow will bring, but today is yours in the makingThe same applies to matter in the universe.

Matter is on the defensive out in space because there are forces that force it to come alive. The galaxies run away from something. The stars around galaxies form spirals which are spinning rapidly away from each other.

While these galaxies are spinning away from each other they are actually unwinding. In other words, they are receiving matter from somewhere and pouring it into our universe to form globules that we call stars.

Eternity is neither purposeless nor wasteful. Those stars are created to have planets, to nurture and cherish living things. A sterile universe would be a contradiction in terms.

This is what I believe:
We are alive, because the Earth our Mother is alive. We move, because the Earth our mother moves. We have got skins and bones because the Earth our mother has got a skin and has got bones. This we must accept.

Many times the earth has undergone great upheavals which have resulted in the extinction of many animal species, but somehow life keeps on coming back, like a boxer who cannot admit defeat, life keeps on flowing right back where it’s been expelled before.

Life came back and back, because life is essential to the universe. Life is important to eternity. Life does not mean animals necessarily. It can mean stars. The stars are alive.  The stars are aware of existence. The stars will sometimes take evasive action when attacked. It is all there in front of us.

The globalizing effect!The Future

We affect the future, all of us, in many ways. The future is not necessarily a linear direction. Like I know that tomorrow the sun will rise and that it will rise in the east and set in west and that in between that time space things will happen good and bad. The future can be influenced. As a man walks down the street he is influencing the future. As a man enters a building he is influencing the future. As a man meets a man, or a man meets a woman, or a woman meets a woman, these people are influencing the future, no matter how small they may be, no matter how insignificant.

The future is something that must happen, but how it happens depends largely on us. It depends largely on the cosmos and on the planet on which we live.

The future is a consequence of deeds done, perhaps thousands of years ago, or hundreds of years ago.

The coming of the New South Africa is a direct consequence of Van Riebeeck landing at the Cape coast in 1652. If that landing had not taken place there would have been no need whatsoever for the events we see happening now. One event leads to another.

The future is not unshakeable, it is not unshapeable. There are even now, even as we are speaking, men and women in hidden places, who are actually working hard to change your future and mine and that of the whole world. The moment a person murders a leader and replaces that leader, the future gets changed.

In African traditions we say that no matter how the future may change, that other future that should have happened, is still there.

When we honour the so called spirits of our ancestors we not only pray to people who once lived in this world, but we also pray to those people who should have lived on this world and were never born, because of certain events that happened at that time. We also honour those people who were born in the past, because to us African people, time is not a forward march. Time can be a sideways march and a backward march as well.

A person can die now and be re-incarnated in the past. A person can die now and be reincarnated in the future. A person can die now and be reborn in a world which should have happened, but never did. We believe that the future is a path of many worms and we human beings briefly follow the path of that worm and then we are briefly diverted on the path of that worm and so on.

The future can redouble on itself. The future can stop happening for a while. For example, there is a future for which the Zulu people were planning for hundreds of years, a future which never happened, but which was very, very close. The Zulu people, including our kings Shaka and Malandela, were trying to forge a huge empire based on trading.

Gamo People and Sacred Forests of EthiopiaValue of Culture

Culture is the first thing that one human being recognizes in another.

Imagine please, two very, very savage human beings, they so savage that both of them are practically brain damaged. They have been in so many fights that their skulls are out of shape because of all the blows that they have sustained.

These human beings are out foraging meet in the bush. They watch each other very suspiciously because human beings are ruled by fear. These two human beings observe each other. This one watches what the other is doing, both looking for an advantage to climb into each other.

One has got property the other one wants. One is planning on removing this other one from being a threat to his life. These human beings are aware that in a straightforward fight they are equals. All of a sudden one human being sees the other doing something strange… The Moon rises is the east and this human being sees the other human standing up and raising his hands in adoration to the moon.

‘This ugly man knows my mother? He knows the round one of the sky? He lifts his hand to the holy one who changes, who dies and is born again and dies and is born again? This one must be my brother.’

These human beings found that they both share a common belief that, that round object is holy to both of them and this human being will want to find out more about this other one and instead of killing each other; these two human beings will start working together and will discover more and more similar things about each other.

One day when they are out in the bush one will take off his loin skin and start urinating and the other will look in curiosity and find that…  ‘Hey! He had something cut off just like me.’ He will start looking at this other man as a brother not as an enemy to be killed and eaten.

Culture has saved many a nation and has doomed many a nation to perdition.

When strange vessels were seen clumsily scudding their way towards the shore, groups of red men looked at these strange wooden vessels. They looked at the strange sheets of cloth which bellied above these vessels and they saw a familiar object painted on these vessels, namely a cross.

They immediately recognized the cross as a sacred object because they knew it.

Instead of attacking the iron-clad strangers and driving them back into the sea where they belonged and so changing the whole history, the poor Red Indians welcomed the Spaniards because of the cross they saw painted on the sails of their ships and they welcomed their own deaths and that of their children.

What history doesn’t say is that culture played an important role in unifying humans in the past. The Romans attacked the Celts. They invaded and destroyed Celtic culture, or so they thought.

Celts saw in the Romans much they had in common. The Romans were a people who adored the warrior ethic. The Romans were a nation of warriors like the Celts. Although Romans would like to believe otherwise and other people would like to believe otherwise, the Romans had much in common culturally to the Celts and the Celts discovered this.

What happened then was a typical colonial ploy. The Romans began destroying native Celtic culture, assisted by the very Celts, but what was happening was that the Romans, while destroying Celtic culture, were being Celticised themselves.

Romans, ever thirsty for new truths, found exciting gods in the Celtic pantheon and adopted them. For example, where the Romans worshipped Juno, they now started worshipping not only Juno but Matrona. A Celtic Juno accompanied by ecstatic dancing.  What were the Romans if not lovers of spectacle?

They adopted Matrona’s religion stock lock and barrel, just as they had done in North Africa,  where they adopted Jupiter Serapis and the Romans even adopted Celtic gods and made them part of their religion. They adopted for example the god called Mabon, the Celtic god of youth. They adopted the god called Endobel or EndoBelinus. They adopted many Celtic gods and Celtic attitudes.

Whenever nations rub shoulders they exchange culture and they exchange those things in their respective cultures with which they can readily identify.

Why Is Africa’s Indigenous Religion Still Being Suppressed?

The people who want to rule Africa, they are afraid of our religion.

They are bitterly afraid of the African religion, because the African religion is a sharing, mother-honouring religion.

Western civilization is trying and I say trying, to become a male machine which is geared to crushing the female in every nation. If we were to allow the female within us to gain the upper hand, we would start feeling with our hearts and stop feeling with lower parts of our bodies.

The Red Indian in America, carefully obliterating traces of his campfire and combing the ground to leave the earth the way he found it, he is honouring the female side, the mother side which preserves.

The moment we Africans start bringing back our mother religion, we would be a very, very, very difficult people to exploit.

One day when you return, if I’m still alive, I would read to you what the first colonial government in South Africa did.

They went all out to destroy the lobola system, as a prelude to bringing our people under their control. They went all out to destroy our love of the woman and our respect for her.  Lobola is a female instituted institution. It is not the buying of a woman. It is the honouring of one’s mother and the mother of one’s wife and sharing wealth with members of your wife’s family.

Under western society the female side of the human race is called the ‘dark other’. Every effort is made to obliterate it and to destroy it utterly, because if we allow the female side our existence to take over, there would be no chopping down of trees, there would be no pollution of rivers, there would be no abuse of women, no exploitation of little children.

It would knock several pillars of western civilization flat and the whole ugly edifice would collapse.

Africa’s Healing

We need to act now. We need to start now and create a movement that will move forwards as well as backwards.

Backwards to correct the mistakes of the past. Backwards to rewrite many histories that have been wrongly written. Backwards to a re-understanding of Africa as a spiritual as well as a physical entity and forwards using that knowledge as a propellant to drive us into the future.

We black people must take four steps backwards and eight steps forward and in so doing, survive. We must do exactly what the Japanese did, we must re-examine ourselves.

After the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, after they had surrendered to the Americans, the Japanese did a great re-think and they took several steps backwards and then they took a hundred steps forward.

What did the Japanese do which was so good?

Under Japanese military tradition, all children belonged to the emperor. All children belonged to the state. The emperor could command people to go to their deaths. The emperor could command a father to massacre his children, but under the scourge of defeat the Japanese took one major step backwards. They took the step by restoring back to the parents, the parents’ children.

No longer were Japanese children playthings of the Mikado. No longer were Japanese children pawns of the military. Family values torn apart by war and militarism were restored back to the Japanese and from there, Japan was unstoppable. Germany did the same thing.  During the Hitler years, German parents suddenly found themselves thrown out into the cold. Hitler took their children and regimented them. Family life became subordinate to Nazi philosophies and policies.

German people could no longer control their children. A child could inform upon its parents and get them sent to the firing squad or to the labour camp. When the Germans were trying to rebuild their nation after Second World War, they began a long process of restoring to the German parents authority over their children. The Nazi party had fallen, leaving a great vacuum and the Germans had to act once more to restore their children to themselves.

In South Africa at this moment, black children are completely out of control. Parental authority is non-existent. Children knife each other to death right inside schoolyards and in classrooms.

Our children are now lost to us, thanks to the ideologies of the Nationalist party and the ANC both, because the key to dictatorial power in any nation is that you must  first tear the child away from its parents and turn that child into a storm trooper to serve your own purposes. Our children were so used, both by the Nationalist party and by the ANC and other organizations.

The time has come now to restore the dignity of the African family, to restore the black child back to its parents; to restore the extended African family, which can be done without disrupting the high-tech life in which we live.

We must, we must, we must restore family values back to our people otherwise we will breed a nation of civilized thugs. We must restore the African family.

We must restore the dignity that our women once enjoyed, because our women were robbed of their dignity by the colonial powers, when the traitorous preachings of the Apostle Paul, so called, were used to justify the oppression of black females by black males.

An African traditional marriage was a partnership between the cattle-keeping man and the grain-planting woman, an equal partnership. The man was the protector of home, who often died on the battlefield, or out hunting. The woman was the preserver of the home. In her resided the laws, the rules and regulations that made the nation what it was.

The clattering lords of the Middle Ages wearing leather and linen, wearing armour and smelling of horse-shit did not worry much about silk. They worried about steel and battle-axes and about maces and pulverines. Who nudged them from behind, so that men like Da Gama should sail round the Cape, getting seasick all the way until they reached India, God allowing and Saint Joseph. Who wanted spices? Hmm?
It was the women.

The woman wanted to preserve meat, so that his lordship could have a good piece of venison whenever he wanted it. Fridges had not yet been invented. Spice was there to disguise the stink of the venison when it was beginning to spoil, so the big lord could eat in his beard until he died of stomach poisoning later.

We forget they were being nudged by their women. History is really a force driven by the women. Whether an elephant, or a nation somewhere on the coast of Spain, History is female. If you listen to the great stories of our forefathers, there is always a woman who starts a major war between two tribes. Helen of Troy has many similarities to stories in Africa.

History is female and the females can put it right, given the chance. Bur so deeply entrenched is the anti-female philosophy in western society, that I don’t see that happening voluntarily. Men want to be on top. A drunken husband will insist on driving the car even though it’s going to crash into a Putco bus. The man wants to stay in control or he feels he’s not a man.

Don’t be deceived. Africa is being manipulated towards her own destruction. The Third World War… There won’t be such. The Third World War has already begun and Africa is the victim.

Women Currently Face Many Social and Ecological Nightmares

The entire fabric of western civilization has to be changed, by war if necessary. This oppression of women is a new thing. This disrespect for the female is a completely new thing.

Let us have a look what history has got to say. Contrary to what many people think, the woman has been the prime mover in many historical events.

It started during the industrial revolution when factories became so dangerous that men saw it in their interests to quote ‘protect women’ unquote from that danger. It started from the time of Oliver Cromwell, when Christian preachings were used to justify the burning of women at the stake and the cruel oppression of women.

You cannot free the women while books like the Bible still exist. The Bible, both the new and the Old Testament, is bitterly anti-women.

Again and again it speaks about the sinfulness of Israel in worshipping the queen of the sky and the host of heaven namely, our lovely lady Ishtar, she of the uplifted skirts and her friends the Annunaki. Thank you Dr Sitchen! (Here Credo refers to his friend Zecharia Sitchen, author of The Earth Chronicles)

Somebody has got to keep fighting, so that once more the baton is restored to the hands that used to wield it. In olden Ireland, in old Britain the woman was the boss. In ancient Crete the woman was the leader.

In old Africa the woman was the leader. Traditional history tells us that all tribes with names which begin with Ba. BaKongo, BaPende, Bayayi, BaNtwana, BaYaka, BaNtu, all of them were originally founded by women. The sound Ba is feminine.

Anacaona Queen of Xaragua/Haiti

Anacaona Queen of Xaragua/Haiti

I think that women are disrespected, because they are feared, period.

Ideologies become discredited, as they become exposed for the frauds that they are. Not so long ago hundreds and millions of people were slaughtering each other in the name of communism and democracy in Vietnam. Great numbers of people died during the Second World War, destroying each other in the name of Nazism and god knows what.

Today these ideologies have become discredited. Communism has temporarily broken apart, but not died. No philosophy born of the human mind can ever die. Communism is alive and well and undergoing a change.

During the interim three forces are going to come forward: religion, ethnicity and gender. There is another force which is in the offing and this will be the force of the environment.   We are going to have men and women fighting and losing their lives destroying great factories great installations. They will blow up dams and destroy cities in the name of a cleaner world.

People think that nuclear bombs will be used in the fight between ideologies. Never! They will not, because these ideologies are really two sisters lying under the same blanket.   People will use the nuclear bomb and other hideous tools of mass destruction for racial reasons, ethnic reasons and religious reasons.

what education?Education

The entire fabric of western thought has got to undergo a sea change. We are too obsessed with indoctrination and not with guidance and education. And what you call education in this sense is really the indoctrination of children.

Look at how education becomes a stupid dead end. A goal is placed in front of a child.  Pass your matric and you are home free boy. This child moves heaven and hell itself to pass matric. It passes matric and then… dead end. Endsville. The vehicle stops.

The child is now a robot without a purpose. Whereas, if a child was to receive education from its mother, it would be an ongoing education, because women herself is continuously learning, whether she likes it or not. The man thinks he knows it all, but the woman is continuously learning whether she likes it or not.

If you look everywhere, even in that land of America, you will see that black education is in total chaos, black colleges, black universities, black schools, are cesspits of violence and destabilization, but you never hear that in Taiwan or Hong Kong or anywhere in Japan. I know I have been there. The black man in England, in America and in Africa, the whole of it, is being denied a chance at education. Universities are being used as staging posts for revolutionary activity. The result is that blacks receive a semblance of education. This is as true here as in the bloodied streets of Alabama.

Modern students go to acquire degrees. Once they acquire degrees forget everything.   We would not find the number of functional illiterates who’ve been to schools and universities. Instead of benefiting from the highest education, people emerge from universities knowing nothing.

I am all for the preservation of my people’s knowledge, but knowledge buried in the electronic womb of some computer is worse than useless. It is there until that computer becomes obsolete, then no-one will be able to access it.

What I think should be done as a matter of national urgency is that places should be created where the knowledge of our people should be brought out, kept alive and disseminated among our educational institutions, hospitals and industries. We must make knowledge available to places and institutions where it will be used directly.

It is all very well an information super highway where people will access African knowledge to ease their boredom and briefly open windows to worlds they don’t  know, before slamming them shut.

We must have schools were dedicated men and women who would make this knowledge alive. You cannot describe copper smelting into a tape recorder; you cannot describe wood carving and all the rituals. Knowledge is something someone must see and experience personally directly.

There are places here in Eastern Cape where groups of white people are living in forests, carving African drums. That is the way to go. Knowledge is practical.

Our forefathers gave us practical knowledge. If you store this knowledge in a computer it will die, because knowledge appeals to all of your senses; the sense of touch, sense of hearing, sense of smell and of seeing. How do you preserve the knowledge of basket-weaving or traditional pottery? When a traditional potter prepares to make a pot, she has to eat a lump of clay. How will you describe the taste this woman experiences?

My grandmother taught me that if I wanted to create a knife hard enough to cut through a crocodile skin, I must use cowhide to harden that knife, by wrapping it in cowhide, putting it inside a clay pot filled with sand roasting the pot on the fire to case harden. If I wanted to know if the metal was hard enough, I had to take the clay pot out of the fire with a long tongs and smell the carbon getting married to the steel. In our presentation of our culture, we lose many things if we simply write about them, admirable though these things are.

European culture lost a lot, the moment people started writing about it.

Culture is a practical thing; there are things you cannot describe.

How does the blacksmith know when the iron is ready to be formed into a wheel for a wagon?  He feels by the way the iron yields when it contacts the hammer. We should by all means create places where our people’s knowledge is preserved, but they must be living places where practical aspects of this culture are nurtured and kept alive.

If we make this knowledge available we must reward our people, for knowledge must be relevant to people’s lives. Knowledge must be made relevant. People who know must come out in great crusades.

Our medicines should be used not just recorded.

I saw a renaissance must begin. It must not be the trend afro activity. It must be the real thing.  We should go the whole hog. We must go for the real thing.

Knowledge which is useless to people is criminal. There is a lot of knowledge buried in the universities, huge chapters of South African History.

We must have a renaissance in South Africa, because during a renaissance a people discovers it’s true greatness, it’s true potential, it’s true power. During a renaissance people who should have become destructive, people who should have become evil, actually become good, as they get caught by the whirlwind of rebirth.

What proof do I have of this? I want you to look please at Michelangelo Benaroti, a squat, heavily muscled, monster of a man, with a broken nose, who used to brawl his way through the streets of his native town. This man would have ended up on the end of a hangman’s rope had he not found his true vocation as the greatest painter and sculptor that the renaissance had ever seen.

Look at another man Benvenuto Cellini, a duelist who killed several men with his sword.  That man would have ended up under the executioners axe, had he not discovered his great talent as a goldsmith and a sculptor. Leonardo da Vinci, Ademitsia Bruneleci, Barnabada Modena, all the shining lights of the European renaissance.

Why can’t we Africans produce people like that? We can and we will, if given the chance but there are forces that want to dim our people’s greatness. There are forces beyond Africa that have conspired to extinguish the light of the greatness that was once Africa.

I shuddered when I learned that there was once a time in remote history, when my people sailed the seas. I shuddered when I stood facing a huge stone head, in a city park in Central America and I looked up at the African features, so wonderfully detailed upon that stone face. Africans had sailed to America, thousands of years ago and had established empires there.

My wish is that my people should once more return to their greatness.

I grew up in front of some of the greatest black men who ever lived. I grew up practically on the lap of the most educated men who ever existed, John Langalibalele Dube, a man who told me, way back in 1934, that I should write books; man who instilled into me a love of the written word.

I grew up in the great hut of chief Manzolwane Cetswayo, a chieftain who was a son of the great Zulu chief Cetswayo and who regaled me with stories of the glory that was once Zululand. I grew up seeing other great men, like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Abdul Rama. I saw Shembe, a man who had founded one of the most powerful religious sects in Natal. I saw Professor Matthews, Z.K. Matthews. Even to this day, my footsteps sometimes direct me towards other great men and women not only of the black race, but also of other races.

I sat upon a fallen pine tree side by side with a great wise man of the Mohawk tribe, called Richard Rainbow, in faraway America. I sat on a chair facing another great man across the table, Mr.Thomas Banyaca, another Native American shaman and leader, in North America. I shook the wrinkled hand of Ms Lillian Two Bears. I held the gentle hand of Ms Morning Star.

I have met many men and women. Some of the men, who became great leaders in Africa, were once friends of mine. Dr Hastings Banda, so small that you could practically put him inside a bag and carry him away. Stanley Kamao later known as Jomo Kenyatta, one of the greatest leaders in Africa.

Justice Department to Breaks Ties with Private Prisons!?*

Justice Department to Breaks Ties with Private Prisons!?*

By Alexandra Jacobo

Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates announced late Thursday morning that the United States Justice Department has plans to ultimately end their use of private prisons.

The DOJ will phase out its contracts with private prison companies by either not renewing them or “substantially reducing” their scope with the goal of “ultimately ending” their use of them altogether.

Says Yates:

“They simply do not provide the same level of correctional services, programs, and resources; they do not save substantially on costs; and as noted in a recent report by the Department’s Office of Inspector General, they do not maintain the same level of safety and security.”

The announcement from the Justice Department is in part due to the Inspector General report released last week. Overall the report states that privately-run facilities are subpar to their government-run counterparts. The report shows that the Inspector General’s office evaluated prisons on eight different categories. Private facilities underperformed government-run prisons in six of the eight, some of which were:

Contraband: Private prisons “confiscated eight times as many contraband cell phones annually on average as the BOP institutions,” and they “had nearly twice as many weapons confiscated as BOP institutions (3.2 compared to 1.8) monthly.”

Inmate-on-inmate Assaults: Private facilities had “3.3 assaults monthly, on average, compared to 2.5 on average” in government-run institutions.

Inmate-on-Staff Assaults: “Contract prisons reported well more than twice as many such incidents each month on average as compared to” government-run institutions. “4.2 assaults monthly, on average, int eh contract prisons versus 1.6” in the government-run institutions.

Lockdowns: Private prisons had “30 partial lockdowns and 71 full lockdowns, while the BOP institutions reported no partial lockdowns and 11 full lockdowns, meaning that these security measures occurred more than 9 times as often at contract prisons.”

Serious Disciplinary Violations: “Contract prisons had a higher number of guilty findings on these types of serious offense charges. The contract prisons had 77.9 guilty findings monthly on average (10,089 over 4 years), compared to 64.7 in the BOP institutions (7,439 over 4 years).”

We must keep in mind, however, that not all federal private prisons are run by the Department of Justice. The private prison industry does the bulk of their business with the Department of Homeland Security, who uses them to hold immigrants. The Department of Justice’s decision to move away from private prisons will not affect how much the Department of Homeland Security uses them.

Regardless, in response to the news of the Department of Justice dropping private prisons, two companies named in the Inspector General report saw massive stock drops directly following the announcement:
