Native Tribes in U.S. and Canada Sign Treaty Again Opposing Oil Pipelines*

Native Tribes in U.S. and Canada Sign Treaty (Again) Opposing Oil Pipelines*

Indigenous nations from Canada and the United States have signed a treaty agreeing to oppose future proposals for pipeline, rail, and tanker projects that attempt to carry crude oil from Alberta’s oil sands.

On Thursday, tribes from Canada and the northern United States signed a treaty declaring their opposition to future proposals for pipelines that would carry crude oil from Alberta to other locations across Canada and the United States. The tribal nations are opposed to the pipelines based on potential threats to the environment.

Rothschild’s Reuters reports:

“The Treaty Alliance Against Tar Sands Expansion was signed by 50 aboriginal groups in North America, who also plan to oppose tanker and rail projects in both countries, they said in a statement.

“Targets include projects proposed by Kinder Morgan Inc, TransCanada Corp and Enbridge Inc.”

The Canadian Energy Pipeline Association told Reuters that the industry is open to hearing indigenous concerns, but that oil is necessary to move Canada forward.

“The fact remains there is a critical need for pipelines in Canada,” the association told Reuters.

“What this Treaty means is that from Quebec, we will work with our First Nation allies in BC to make sure that the Kinder Morgan pipeline does not pass and we will also work with our Tribal allies in Minnesota as they take on Enbridge’s Line 3 expansion, and we know they’ll help us do the same against Energy East,” Kanesatake Grand Chief Serge Simon said in a statement. Chief Simon was referring to TransCanada’s plan to carry 1.1 million barrels of crude per day from Alberta to Canada’s East Coast.

The new treaty was also signed by the Standing Rock Sioux who have been fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) since August. The DAPL, alternatively known as the Bakken Pipeline, is owned by Dallas, Texas-based corporation Energy Transfer Partners, L.P., which created the subsidiary Dakota Access LLC.  The pipeline will stretch 1,172 miles upon completion and transport crude oil from the Bakken fields of North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. The project is set to cross the Missouri River not far from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. The Sacred Stone and Red Warrior Camp’s were formed in opposition to the DAPL.

According to the treaty alliance website,

“The alliance is part of an Indigenous Sovereignty resurgence taking place all over Turtle Island where Indigenous Peoples are reasserting themselves as the legitimate governments and caretakers of their territories.

“The allied signatory Indigenous Nations aim to prevent a pipeline/train/tanker spill from poisoning their water and to stop the Tar Sands from increasing its output and becoming an even bigger obstacle to solving the climate crisis. The world might not be able to immediately stop using oil tomorrow, but the last thing it needs is more oil, and especially not more of the dirtiest oil on the planet. It is critical that we urgently start building a more sustainable future and signatory Nations want to be at the heart of that building process.”

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the fight against these pipelines is not simply about the pipelines themselves, or even oil. No, this is about a clashing of worldviews. One that sees humanity as an extended family and aims to make decisions based on what is good for today and tomorrow. The other viewpoint, what some might call “The Western Worldview” or a “Modern Worldview,” is living only for this current moment, and not in any sort of enlightened way, but without care or concern for how today’s actions will affect tomorrow.

This is a fight that has been coming for some time now. Those who live with a view towards the 7th Generation and those who seem incapable of fathoming the destruction caused by their actions are finally beginning to face off. Archaic institutions that seek to control and dominate (The State, Corporate Power) can only survive by promoting lifestyles that are not sustainable or regenerative. They thrive off encouraging actions that divide, deplete, and disempower. The Indigenous people of this planet are beginning to unite in ways not seen in generations.

It’s time for the people of this Earth to make a decision: Do you stand for the people, for the planet, and for life? Or will you continue to support destruction and the demise of the human species by passively accepting the status quo?

Massive Voter Fraud Underway in Texas Calls in Attorney General*

A massive investigation is underway in Texas as law enforcement officers from the state’s Attorney General office investigate a vote-harvesting scheme alleged to involve as many as 20,000 ballots.
Residents in Tarrant county report seeing several agents in Fort Worth neighborhoods going door-to-door investigating allegations of vote harvesting. One source close to the investigation calls the allegations,
“serious and substantial…it is believed to be the largest case of voter fraud the AG’s office has ever investigated and involves multiple election cycles.”

The investigation was the result of a complaint filed by Aaron Harris, of Direct Action Texas, an organization that also uncovered significant errors in Hill County’s primary election results.

Yesterday, Harris confirmed that the AG investigators have been witnessed on the ground interviewing witnesses in connection with the investigation that was originally announced late August during a meeting with the Tarrant County’s Election Committee shown in the video below.

Brexit: 2 Minute Pound Crash ‘Suspicious’ Says Bank of England*

The Bank of England has confirmed that it will investigate the cause of a sharp fall in the value of the pound, which plunged in mysterious circumstances in overnight trading in Asia.

The news of the investigation came after the pound suffered a jarring flash crash on Friday morning, nosediving more than 6% against the dollar in a matter of minutes.

“We are looking at the causes of the sharp falls over night,” the Bank of England said in a statement.

The pound fell as much as 6% to $1.1841 – the most aggressive move since the results of the Brexit vote emerged in June – before recovering to $1.24 against the dollar.

The flash crash aftershocks also briefly pushed sterling below €1.10, for the first time since early 2010.

Sterling’s volatility also overshadowed the latest data on the U.S. labour market, which usually grabs the attention of the currency market.

The pound regained some of its losses but was still down 2% cent at $1.2363 ahead of the U.S. markets opening on Friday.

Putting Friday’s morning’s “flash crash” aside, the pound has still fallen about 18 per cent against the dollar to below $1.24 since Britain voted to leave the European Union on 23 June.

The sudden plunge left investors wondering what drove the flash crash.

“It was just another quiet day in Asia, and then, Bang! All the lights went red,” Matt Simpson, senior market analyst at ThinkMarkets, told CNN.

There was speculation a technical glitch or human error had sparked a rash of computer-driven orders.

Naeem Aslam, chief market analyst of Think Markets, said the fall was an indicator of how low the currency could still go.

“What we had was insane – call it flash crash but the move of this magnitude really tells you how low the currency can really go,” said Naeem Aslam, chief market analyst of Think Markets, in a note, according to Bloomberg.

Hard Brexit has haunted the sterling,” he added.

One of the theories surrounding the mysterious flash crash include the publication of a report by The Financial Times.

In the report, French President François Hollande said Britain must suffer the consequences of leaving the E.U. and the E.U. must demand a tough stance when it negotiates an exit.

Su-Lin Ong, a senior economist at RBC Capital Markets, said:

The move coincided with an FT story about French president Hollande demanding tough Brexit negotiations. The move was exacerbated once stops were tripped below a key level of $1.2600 in very thin trading before the U.S. payrolls.”

The pound has been very sensitive to politics lately as fears over the consequences of a hard Brexit haunt investor attraction towards the currency.

Theresa May, at the Conservative party conference on Sunday, hinted that the UK was moving towards a Brexit deal that could restrict its access to the European single market, but provide greater control over immigration levels.

Sean Callow, a senior currency strategist at Westpac, said sterling had been “on a precipice” since her speech.

In a gloomy note HSBC predicted the pound will fall to $1.10 against the dollar and hit parity against the euro by the end of 2017.

David Bloom, HSBC’s global head of FX, said the currency is now “de facto official opposition to the Government’s policies”.

“The argument which is still presented to us, that the U.K. and E.U. will resolve their difference and come to an amicable deal, appears a little surreal. It is becoming clear that many European countries will come to the negotiation table looking for political damage limitation rather than economic damage limitation. A lose-lose situation is the inevitable outcome,” Mr Bloom said.

The Election Of The New Black Pope, General of The Jesuits*

The Election Of The New Black Pope,  General of The Jesuits*

By Franca Giansoldati

Vatican City Countdown and work in progress for a new “Black Pope”. Father Adolfo Nicolas, the head of the Jesuits, October 2 will present his resignation to the assembly of his brethren, as he had announced, because he wants to retire. The green light to leave office in 80 years arrived by Pope Francesco

The decision to give the mandate to the life of the Jesuit General already has a precedent in the centuries-long history of the order founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius: that of Hans Kolvenbach (who retired in Lebanon) who at the stroke of 80 years in 2008, after manning the helm for 25 years of the Society of Jesus, he resigned from office with the consent of the then Pope Benedict XVI and of the 35th general Congregation.

“I think that the whole Society of Jesus is conscious of the fact that we need agility and bravery in facing the future and that it is not good to be in the midst of the uncertainties that accompany the last two years or more of service of each Superior General “said father Nicolas.

“The congregation is free to accept my request to resign or not to accept it. If that does not accept it, it will elect a vicar to provide for the next few years when my skills certainly will decrease substantially. ”

Nicolas was elected on the second ballot by the General Congregation to 72 years.

The general of the Jesuits is called “Black Pope” for the colour of his robe wearing, because it is elected for life as the Pope and heads of the largest and most influential religious order in the world.Benedict XVI, in 2008, speaking to the Jesuits following the election of Nicolas, asked the company to greater fidelity ‘to promote true and healthy Catholic doctrine “, of which” the Church has even more need today, in an age where there is an urgency to pass on to contemporary, distracted by discordant voices, the unique and immutable message of salvation which is the Gospel. ”

Ratzinger had described as “very useful” a public reaffirmation of the ‘own total adhesion to Catholic doctrine “by the Society of Jesus,” in particular on those neuralgic points which today are strongly attacked by secular culture, like the relationship between Christ and religions, certain aspects of liberation theology and various points of sexual morality, especially as regards the indissolubility of marriage and the pastoral care of homosexual persons. ”

Terrorists Reject U.N. offer of Safe Passage from East Aleppo*

By Leith Fadel

The jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) formally rejected the U.N.’s offer of safe passage from the east Aleppo neighborhoods, despite being completely besieged by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham and their allies were initially offered by the leader of the United Nations’ Special Envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura; however, their rejection on Thursday put an end to this humanitarian intervention.

In order to comply with the U.N.’s humanitarian requests, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAYF) has reduced the number of airstrikes over the east Aleppo neighborhoods.

The reduction in airstrikes has had little impact on the Syrian Arab Army’s performance in east Aleppo, as they have managed to capture several sites from the jihadist rebels, including the strategic Suleiman Al-Halabi District.

New Zealand the Mouse that Roared at the U.N.*

New Zealand the Mouse that Roared at the U.N.*

By Kerry Bolton

The impotency of New Zealand as a nation is reflected in its tendency to compensate by sanctimonious lectures at world forums on any possible occasion. The use of moral humbug as a diplomatic weapon is the resort of hypocrites who have an agenda in which they wish to give moral sanction to amoral methods, such as the USA, or who are, like New Zealand, too weak to act; like a bully who circles threateningly yelling abuse and waving fists but lacking courage.

Hence whenever a New Zealand delegate is given a regional or international rostrum such as that of the United Nations, you can be assured that the most will be made to deliver platitudes on grave issues that are far from New Zealand shores, and shadow-boxing can be safely indulged with gusto.

Prime Minister John Key came to politics from finance, having worked with merchant banks and the Federal Reserve Bank in the USA. He is thus a child of the globalist elite, and after retiring from politics will presumably be well-rewarded with a plush position in the realm of international finance from whence he came. It is therefore not surprising that Key’s speech at the U.N. Security Council inanely followed the U.S.-globalist line on Syria, with the assurance to that contrived entity called the “world community” that Syria is a very serious issue. Syria has been a “serious issue” since the Project for the New American Century worked out a blueprint for Middle East “constant conflict” (See: A. Bovdunov, Katehon, 14 April 2016) as the “neocons” term their strategy that called for “defending the realm” (that is, Israel’s realm) by eliminating a series of Middle Eastern regimes. Of the hit-list marked for “regime change” only Iran and Syria now remain. Syria was and remains very much a primary target of global hegemonists (See: “Rebuilding America’s Defenses”).

Key soon launched into a condemnation on those who are alleged to have attacked a humanitarian convoy, while he remained mute on the attack on Syrian troops by U.S. bombers a few days previously (“U.S. bombed Syrian troops for an hour”).

Key stated ominously:

“Longer term, we will need to hold to account those most responsible for the appalling atrocities we have witnessed. This includes those responsible for chemical weapons attacks.” “We” meaning New Zealand continuing to pontificate while hiding behind the coat tails of the USA and UNO. Nothing will be learned from the same type of false atrocity propaganda that was used to justify the globalist wars against Serbia, Iraq, and Libya. The same methods are used, justified by the same rhetoric.

Key continued:

“The conflict has created security threats that reach well beyond Syria’s borders. After more than five years of violence, Syria has become a byword for failure. Failure of the parties and their supporters to put peace, and the lives of innocent people ahead of self-interest and zero-sum politics.”

Key is no disinterested, objective observer, no matter how much, in typical New Zealand manner, he postures behind humanitarian jargon. He is propagandising from the U.N. Security Council in the interests of globalist war-mongers, who are responsible not only for the devastation of Syria, and the subsequent refugee crisis, that had been assured by the destruction of Libya, but who decades ago set the stage for the entire “clash of civilisations” by the creation of the so-called “jihadists” as a weapon against the USSR in Afghanistan. The same strategy was used against Milosevic in Serbia, where a battle was fought over the mineral riches of Kosovo, and against Gadhafi’s thriving and stable state in Libya. The “jihadists” have served as the cats-paw of U.S. interests since the creation of the Mujahideen. To what extent is the U.S. claim to be backing only “freedom fighters” in Syria, as in Libya, to be taken seriously? U.S. global strategy is too consistent to be assumed as merely a series of blunders, unless the U.S. strategists are all completely, collectively psychotic. The use of Islamic terrorism can only be considered as a policy designed to ensure that the whole region remains in a continual state of chaos. One must assume that for whatever reason stability is not wanted in the region, that “constant conflict” is the aim.

Key stated:

“That also means not using the fight against terrorism as an excuse to shift our focus from achieving a political solution. Terrorism is a major consequence of the Syrian war. But it did not cause it.” It is paradoxical how “terrorism’ is not a “cause” of a conflict when the USA sends bombers into a state ostensibly to “end terrorism,” yet when a legitimate state attempts to defend itself against terroristic insurrection, it is the state at fault.

Key has now declared that the Assad regime will have to go. He presumes, like his globalist masters, to decide what governments and statesmen are acceptable. Those who are not can be, like Gadhafi and Milosevic and Saddam, literally hunted down and executed. That Assad is the elected head of state matters not an iota. He was freely elected in 2014. Over 73.42% of the electorate voted, despite efforts by separatists and terrorists to prevent the elections. The elections where routinely called a “sham” by the news media of the “world community,” despite the presence of an international team of observers. But it wasn’t the right team, and was not to the liking of the globalists. The ousting of Assad would have been the only acceptable outcome. In the U.S. presidential elections in 2012 54.87% of the electorate voted. Americans hold their world-vaunted democracy in lower regard than Syrians. Therefore the U.S. president had a lesser mandate by far, than Assad. Perhaps insurgent Afro-Americans, Latinos, Amerindians, and maybe even White Southerners, should be funded and armed by Russia, Syria and Iran to overthrow the pathetic edifice of world-stomping “American democracy”? Then there would be much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth by the denizens of Washington and New York, but the world would be a much better place with the dismantling of that failed state.
