Under Trump U.S. Drone Strikes Have Gone Up 432%*

When he was in office, former President Barack Obama earned the ire of anti-war activists for his expansion of Bush’s drone wars. The Nobel Peace Prize-winning head of state ordered ten times more drone strikes than the previous president, and estimates late in Obama’s presidency showed 49 out of 50 victims were civilians. In 2015, it was reported that up to 90% of drone casualties were not the intended targets.

Current President Donald Trump campaigned on a less interventionist foreign policy, claiming to be opposed to nation-building and misguided invasions. But less than two months into his presidency, Trump has expanded the drone strikes that plagued Obama’s “peaceful” presidency.

According to an analysis from Micah Zenko, an analyst with the Council on Foreign Relations, Trump has markedly increased U.S. drone strikes since taking office. Zenko, who reported earlier this year on the over 26,000 bombs Obama dropped in 2016, summarized the increase:

During President Obama’s two terms in office, he approved 542 such targeted strikes in 2,920 days—one every 5.4 days. From his inauguration through today, President Trump had approved at least 36 drone strikes or raids in 45 days—one every 1.25 days.

That’s an increase of 432 percent.

He highlights some of the attacks:

These include three drone strikes in Yemen on January 20, 21, and 22; the January 28 Navy SEAL raid in Yemen; one reported strike in Pakistan on March 1; more than thirty strikes in Yemen on March 2 and 3; and at least one more on March 6.

The Trump administration has provided little acknowledgment of the human toll these strikes are taking. As journalist Glenn Greenwald noted in the Intercept, the Trump administration hastily brushed off recent civilian casualties in favour of honouring the life of a single U.S. soldier who died during one of the Yemen raids just days after Trump took office:

The raid in Yemen that cost Owens his life also killed 30 other people, including ‘many civilians,’ at least nine of whom were children. None of them were mentioned by Trump in last night’s speech, let alone honoured with applause and the presence of grieving relatives. That’s because they were Yemenis, not Americans; therefore, their deaths, and lives, must be ignored (the only exception was some fleeting media mention of the 8-year-old daughter of Anwar al-Awlaki, but only because she was a U.S. citizen and because of the irony that Obama killed her 16-year-old American brother with a drone strike).

Greenwald notes this is typical of not just Trump, but the American war machine in general:

We fixate on the Americans killed, learning their names and life stories and the plight of their spouses and parents, but steadfastly ignore the innocent people the U.S. government kills, whose numbers are always far greater.”

Though some Trump supporters sang his praises as a peace candidate before he took office, the president’s militarism was apparent on many occasions. He openly advocated increasing the size and scope of the military, a promise he is now moving to keep. And as Zenko highlights, Trump was disingenuous with his rhetoric against interventionism:

He claimed to have opposed the 2003 Iraq War when he actually backed it, and to have opposed the 2011 Libya intervention when he actually strongly endorsed it, including with U.S. ground troops. Yet, Trump and his loyalists consistently implied that he would be less supportive of costly and bloody foreign wars, especially when compared to President Obama, and by extension, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

As Trump continues to dig his heels into decades-old policies he has criticized himself — reportedly mulling over sending ground troops into Syria — he is increasingly proving to be yet another establishment warmonger implementing policies that spawn the creation of more terrorists. As Zenko concludes:

We are now on our third post-9/11 administration pursuing many of the same policies that have failed to meaningfully reduce the number of jihadist extremist fighters, or their attractiveness among potential recruits or self-directed terrorists. The Global War on Terrorism remains broadly unquestioned within Washington, no matter who is in the White House.”

Australian Prime Minister and Wife Tied to Pharma, Pushing Mandatory Vaccination*

Australian Prime Minister and Wife Tied to Pharma, Pushing Mandatory Vaccination*

Australia’s politicians are deeply tied to pharmaceutical corporations, the British Monarchy, and other corporate and institutional powers which threaten the freedom and prosperity of Australian citizens.

One product of this hegemony is Australia’s “No Jab No Pay” law, which strips welfare from citizens who refuse vaccination for themselves or their children.

You could say people should just go without government welfare, and that’s a good idea for participants in the philosophy of independence from the system (Voluntaryism or Agorism), but the “system” in Australia has been constructed to make it difficult for anyone who is left out.

They can use this as leverage to cut off other necessities from citizens who refuse vaccination.

Without regard for the world of evidence for why people should not vaccinate, politicians and mainstream media speak of “improving vaccination rates.”

In its full perspective, No Jab No Pay is an eventuality when you see who holds power in the country. Let’s start with the Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull.

He’s a multi-millionaire, with a chairman of a pharma corporation (who works with Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline) for a wife.

According to Money Morning:

“Australia’s new prime minister is a wealthy man. Last night, much was made of the fact that he doesn’t need to be in public life to have power and financial reward. He’s already amassed quite a fortune. Even before he entered politics. Various sources estimate his net worth at between $180 million and $200 million.”

In the mid 90’s, Turnbull invested 500,000$ in OzEmail and returned with about $60 million.

He wasn’t a good actor in response to questions about his finances, saying:

When I was in business I did best out of start-ups. But OzEmail was a long time agoI can’t live off my OzEmail laurels forever.’ ‘I don’t have private equity investments any longer because a) I’m in Parliament and b) I don’t have the timeSince I’ve been in Parliament my investments are rather limited. It’s all there on the record. It’s very boring and passive.

Similar to how ex-FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg’s husband owns a hedge fund called Renaissance Technologies, which owned stake in pharmaceutical companies she failed to properly regulate, the Australian Prime Minister and his wife Lucy Turnbull get rich together.

While the Prime Minister leads government, and pushes for mandatory vaccination to the benefit of pharmaceutical companies, his wife Lucy is chairman of the pharma corporation Prima Biomed.

CVac, the “cancer vaccine” is a main product of this corporation, still not seeing success. As we have exposed in past articles, figures in academia and government hype cancer causing viruses over avoiding carcinogens and general good health to profit from vaccination.

Her company has worked closely with some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical corporations, Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline.

The Prime Minister even has financial ties in tobacco, which may lead to a rabbit hole if you want to research it, considering that in Australia tobacco is very strictly regulated with only pictures of mouth or lung cancer allowed on the few brands of cigarette permitted to be sold in the country.

Lucy Turnbull

According to Crazz Files:

“Malcolm Turnbull has shares in pharmaceutical companies and cigarette maker British American Tobacco.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, who has been controversially targeted by Labor over his extensive offshore investments, has updated his pecuniary interests to include a European investment fund that holds shares in pharmaceutical companies and cigarette maker British American Tobacco.”

His wife is experienced with both financial and government power, holding the office of Lord Mayor of Sydney, and being on Sydney City Council in the 2000’s. She was born into deep government power, well summarized by Wikipedia:

“Turnbull is the daughter of Tom Hughes, a former Attorney-General of Australia. Her great-grandfather was Sir Thomas Hughes, the first Lord Mayor of Sydney.”

Her finances can’t be very separate from his agenda as Prime Minister. In his own words, he said: “Lucy and I work very much as a team.”

In Australia it doesn’t matter whether you choose to believe in the Labor Party or Liberal Party, because they both have ties to royal hegemony, industry, and pharma.

Bill Shorten is the leader of the Labor Party. He and his wife Chloe are also in the game of fusing corporate and government power.

Chloe Shorten is the daughter of a Governor-General of Australia, (Dame) Quentin Bryce, a position that is the commander-in-chief of Australia’s military. According to Wikipedia, the Governor-General is “the representative in Australia of the Australian monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II. The Governor-General is appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister of Australia.”

As with all power structures in the 21st Century and throughout recorded history, it’s about power and profit, on both ends of the political spectrum.

If you really want to get technical about how set to pillage Australia the Prime Minister is, read the rest of this article from Money Morning:

What’s on Malcolm Turnbull’s Register of Interests?

First, there are the listed companies and funds*. Among them is the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust [NYSEARCA:SPY]. Over the last two years, SPY is up by nearly 40%. This ETF is relatively popular because it offers exposure to big-name stocks, whilst being balanced and accessible. The Trust’s top ten holdings are Apple Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Exxon Mobil, Johnson & Johnson, GE, Wells Fargo, Berkshire Hathaway (Class B), JPMorgan,, and Pfizer Inc. Apple is the most substantial holding, at 3.8%. To put that in context, Microsoft comes next at 2.03%. So it’s very tech heavy. But perhaps not as tech heavy as Vanguard Information Technology ETF [NYSEARCA:VGT], which Turnbull bought in July last year. VGT’s top five holdings are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and IBM.

Then there’s the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF [NYSEARCA:HYG]. This Fund pays dividends of around US$0.40 every month or so. It has bonds from a variety of big corporations. Interestingly, most are from the US communications services market.

There’s also the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI Japan Hedged Eq [NYSEARCA:DBJP]. This fund tracks the MSCI Japan US Dollar Hedged Index. It provides exposure to Japanese equities, plus a hedge for the yen/US dollar exchange rate. Its top holdings include Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda.

The takeaway from this? Malcolm Turnbull likes ETFs. Which, like he said, can be kind of boring. But Turnbull has also bought in to a number of actively managed funds. For example, there’s the 3G Natural Resources Offshore Fund. This Fund is run by multi-billion dollar global firm 3G Capital. 3G is based in Brazil. The Fund’s nominated jurisdiction is the Cayman Islands, because…reasons. There’s no public information on what it holds.

There were a number of others on the list, which Turnbull got rid of after he was elected in 2013. Those included iShares JPMorgan USD Emer Mkt Bnd Fd ETF [NYSEARCA:EMB] and iShares MSCI Brazil Index (ETF) [NYSEARCA:EWZ]. In other words, a significant amount of exposure to emerging markets. In July this year, he added Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Domestic Debt Fund, Inc. [NYSE: EDD]. But EDD isn’t looking for growth. It looks for government debt securities (bonds) in emerging countries. So really, it’s just another fixed income pick.”

This is not just how it works in Australia, or in the U.S. with the FDA for example, but this is the signature of power all over the world in its modern form.

Iraq Officially Declared Safer For Women than Sweden*

Iraq Officially Declared Safer For Women than Sweden*

By Sean Adl-Tabataba

Respected war correspondent Magda Gad claims that war-torn Iraq is a safer place for women than Stockholm, Sweden.

According to the award-winning war reporter, women are far less likely to be physically assaulted in Mosul than they are in Sweden’s capital city.

There is no law on the Islamic veil here, and it’s safer for women to be outdoors than Stockholm,” Magda Gad tweeted from Iraq. reports:

Asked by another user to clarify whether she “feel[s] safer outdoors in Iraq than Stockholm”, the Expressen reporter — who has been covering the fight against Islamic State in Iraq since June last year, said “Yep”.

Gad said Stockholm on a weekend evening is “much worse than any night in Iraq”, in response to a suggestion by the user ‘Per Anders Englund’ that it “can’t be easy being a good looking woman” in Sweden’s capital with “groping” men about.

In another tweet, the multi-award winning journalist described Iraq as “quiet, apart from the war”.

“In cities unaffected by fighting, it’s very quiet and no one bothers you when you walk the streets,” she wrote.

@BorenNon @MrJeedi Det är lugnt utöver kriget. I städer utanför kriget är det ingen som stör dig när du går på gatorna, det är väldigt lugnt

— Magda Gad (@gad_media) March 4, 2017

For her war coverage in Iraq, Gad has been nominated for an INMA Global Media Award in the Best Use of Social Media category, where she is competing with finalists including U.S. TV channel NBC.

She also co-founded the Blank Spot Project, a news site focused on long-form reports from places with very little or no journalistic coverage.

The Swedish establishment has been keen to counter the image that the country is beset with crime after U.S. President Donald J. Trump highlighted how its “having problems like they never thought possible” as a result of its open border migration policies.

Last month, just hours after Sweden’s prime minister attacked the president for linking mass migration with rising violence, riots broke out in a suburb where a majority of residents were born overseas.

The riots, in which cars were set ablaze and shops were looted, resulted in the Stockholm suburb looking “like a warzone” according to a journalist who was at the scene.

U.K. Police Given the Go-ahead to Fire at Will*

U.K. Police Given the Go-ahead to Fire at Will*

Police will no longer face immediate suspension if they fire their weapons while on duty, U.K. Home Secretary Amber Rudd has announced.

Rudd said police officers using firearms would only be suspended in “exceptional circumstances” and that there is no rule restricting Authorised Firearms Officers from being the first to open fire.

Rudd’s comments came after Tory MP Michael Fabricant claimed officers are reluctant to discharge their weapons during operations, as they fear they will be suspended or dismissed. He described the current rules as not being “fit for purpose.

“I’m quite concerned by the fact that a number of police officers, both here at the Palace of Westminster and in Downing Street, that they as armed police officers don’t feel that they are getting the freedom to act that they should have, because of the rules of engagement,” Fabricant said while speaking during Home Office questions.

“Can these be changed to be fit for purpose?”

In response to the Tory MPs concerns, Rudd said:

“I can confirm that only in exceptional circumstances would somebody be suspended for using their gun, and there is no rule prohibiting officers from shooting first.

“Their decision is and must be based on an assessment of threat to life, including their own.”

According to the Sun, London’s Metropolitan Police has hired just half of the 600 extra firearms officers it had pledged to recruit after the Paris terrorist attack in November 2015, which killed 130 people and injured hundreds more.

Met Police Federation branch chairman Ken Marsh told the Sun he welcomes the Home Secretary’s announcement.

“What police officer would put themselves in the line of fire with the automatic prospect of suspension and risk of criminal investigation when they could opt for an easier life?” Marsh said.

Firearms officers need more recognition and support around the difficult role they perform.

Government statistics report that there have only been seven incidents where police fired their guns in England and Wales in the year ending March 2016.

While the figure is still low, it is the highest since 2009.

The figures do not include accidental discharges, or those used for animal destruction, police training, and deflating tires, however.

Rudd’s comments come after the news last week that new stun guns will be issued to police across England and Wales.

The Home Secretary has approved the use of the X2 Taser, despite acknowledging the weapons have been connected with fatalities.

But police will have to be transparent about their use of Tasers, registering and publishing every incident and its outcome, as well as the age and ethnicity of the person they used it on.

Bella Sankey, director of policy at human rights charity Liberty, said it was “irresponsible” for Rudd to allow the adoption of “lethal” arms.

“The use of Tasers has grown vastly since their introduction – but regulation remains woeful,” Sankey said, the Independent reports.

“Initially intended for firearms officers only, they’re now available across the frontline – and there have been far too many examples of completely inappropriate use, with the BME community and those with mental health conditions most affected.

“Increased monitoring, including ethnicity and age monitoring, is welcome. But it is deeply irresponsible that the Home Secretary – instead of tightening up regulations – is authorising more powerful and dangerous Tasers.

“Making an already lethal tool more lethal will do little to reassure those communities at the sharp end of this practice.”

Big ‘Pharma Drug Caused Transgender’*

Big ‘Pharma Drug Caused Transgender’*

By Paul Webber

Dr. Dana Beyer. DES researcher

DES (diethylstilbestrol) is a synthetic version of estrogen that was given to pregnant women from 1940 to the 1970’s. It was marketed by pharma as a medication which would alleviated morning sickness and prevent miscarriages. It was a load of 50,000 times the normal amounts of estrogen. Women were told they were taking “super vitamins.”

Decades later, it was shown that DES was a contributing cause to cancer in the women who took the synthetic estrogen and the children who were in utero at the time. A new movie in development called Wonder Drug is documenting the horrific circumstances surrounding DES.

The currently proven effects of exposure include a rare vaginal cancer in DES Daughters; greater risk for breast cancer in DES Mothers; possible risk for testicular cancer in DES Sons; abnormal reproductive organs; infertility; high-risk pregnancies; and an increased risk for breast cancer in DES Daughters after age 40. There are a number of other suspected effects, including auto-immune disorders, but many of these effects are still awaiting further research.

Grandchildren of the exposed may also be suffering the same fate as those directly exposed. There aren’t sufficient studies to prove or disprove cancer’s effects across generations so it would be difficult to understand the overall effects of these transgressions.

But one of the most interesting effects of the drug might well be in boys of mothers who took the drug. There seems to be a large occurence of transgender, transexual and intersex men who were subjected to the DES in utero.

Last year, a report by 10 News out of Tampa, Florida, examined the links between DES and sexual identity occurrences.

“[There were these] two sides to my life. [Finally] it gave me some peace.”

Feryo was assigned a male at birth. But today identifies as a transgender woman. She is one of thousands of people in America who struggled with their gender identity.

She believes a drug is the reason why.

Almost a thousand miles away, outside of Washington D.C., Dr. Dana Beyer, a transgender rights advocate who ran for the Maryland Senate, describes the drug: a hormone called Diethylstibesterol, also known at DES.

“Clearly the drug was given without understanding the awful consequences. This is the biggest medical disaster in modern medicine until the Vioxx scandal.”

It should be noted, today, many men take synthetic versions of testosterone which commonly have side effects. But to what extent the introduction of artificial testosterone might affect men is not well known seeing the drug is relatively new.

So often, pharma’s tragedies are see in hindsight rather than real time, which is why I note the synthetic testosterone.

The CDC now admits that DES is linked to cervical cancer, infertility and autoimmune disease.

Missouri to Ban Mercury and Foreign DNA in Vaccines*

Missouri to Ban Mercury and Foreign DNA in Vaccines*

In January 2017, State Representative Lynn Morris introduced HB 331 in the Missouri House of Representatives prohibiting vaccines containing mercury or other metals used for preservation or any other purpose from being administered to a child or adult in a public health clinic in Missouri. If passed, the legislation would take effect on Aug. 28, 2018.

A second bill, HB 332, introduced by Rep. Morris, seeks to restrict the use of certain vaccines containing foreign human DNA. It requires that chicken pox and shingles vaccines administered to patients in public health clinics must not contain foreign human DNA contaminates. The two bills are in response to public concerns regarding vaccine safety.

Vaccine mandates and policies at the state level are generally based on the vaccine schedule and guidelines recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control Prevention’s (CDC). HB 331 and HB 332 aim to invalidate the CDC’s recommendations of vaccines that include mercury and other toxic substances.

Although the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) maintains that “All forms of mercury are quite toxic, and each form exhibits different health effects,” the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to minimize the dangers of mercury in vaccines. The FDA admits that thimerosal (a mercury based preservative) is still being used in vaccines in varying amounts.

Thimerosal, which is approximately 50% mercury by weight, has been one of the most widely used preservatives in vaccines… While the use of mercury-containing preservatives has declined in recent years with the development of new products formulated with alternative or no preservatives, thimerosal has been used in some immune globulin preparations, anti-venins, skin test antigens, and ophthalmic and nasal products, in addition to certain vaccines.

The CDC defends the use of thimerosal in vaccines. It states:

Mercury is a naturally occurring element found in the earth’s crust, air, soil, and water.  Two types of mercury to which people may be exposed—methylmercury and ethylmercury—are very different. Methylmercury is the type of mercury found in certain kinds of fish. At high exposure levels methylmercury can be toxic to people. In the United States, federal guidelines keep as much methylmercury as possible out of the environment and food, but over a lifetime, everyone is exposed to some methylmercury. Thimerosal contains ethylmercury, which is cleared from the human body more quickly than methylmercury, and is therefore less likely to cause any harm.

Mercury preservatives are not present in live virus vaccines, such as MMR and varicella zoster (chickenpox). Currently, thimerosal is primarily found in varying amounts in some FDA licensed inactivated influenza and meningococcal vaccines, and certain tetanus-containing vaccines (T, Td/DT) distributed in the U.S.

According to the Tenth Amendment Center, HB 331 and HB 332 have yet to be referred to committee and must pass through their committee assignments by a majority vote prior to consideration by the full House.

No Surprise: US Black People Falsely Convicted More Than Whites*

No Surprise: US Black People Falsely Convicted More Than Whites*

When it comes to drug crimes, innocent Black people in the U.S. are about 12 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted than white people, the study said.

African-Americans in the United States are far more likely to be wrongfully convicted of crimes such as murder, sexual assault and illegal drug activity than white people due to factors including racial bias and official misconduct, according to a study released Tuesday.

Of the 1,900 defendants convicted of crimes and later exonerated, 47 percent were African-Americans, a figure three times their representation in the population, according to the study from the National Registry of Exonerations examining cases from 1989 to October 2016.

The study also found that Black defendants were about seven times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of murder than their white counterparts.

When it comes to drug crimes, innocent Black people in the U.S. are about 12 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted than white people, the study said.

“In the murder cases we examined, the rate of official misconduct is considerably higher in cases where the defendant is African-American compared to cases where the defendant is white,” said Samuel Gross, a University of Michigan Law School professor who is senior editor of the group that tracks U.S. exonerations.

He attributed the troubling results to several factors such as unconscious bias, institutional discrimination and explicit racism.

A study last June found that African-Americans are imprisoned at least five times more than white people across the country, the ratio being 10 Black people to one white person in at least five different states.

A separate study from the same group released Tuesday showed that 2016 set a record for known exonerations in the United States since 1989 at 166, up from 160 cases in 2015.

Nearly 60 of the exonerations came from Texas — the most of any state — where district attorneys in the counties that include Houston and Dallas have set up integrity units to examine prosecutions for possible problems.

Most of the Texas exonerations were drug convictions in Harris County, which includes Houston. In many of the cases, suspects pleaded guilty to drug possession and months or years later, reports from crime labs showed that seized material contained no controlled substances.
