Writer, historian and philanthropist Dimitri Romanov, claimant for the leadership of the Imperial House of Russia, has died at the age of 90 in Denmark after being taken urgently to the hospital last week.

“Dimitri Romanovich died at a hospital on the evening of December, 31,” the prince’s wife, Princess Theodora Alexeevna Romanov, told TASS on Sunday.

Dimitri Romanov was born on May 17, 1926, in Cap d’Antibes in France to Prince Roman Petrovich of Russia and Countess Praskovia Sheremeteva. In 1936, the family moved to Italy where he lived at the Royal Palace in Rome. In 1946 Prince Dimitri lived in Egypt for several years before moving back to Italy. Since 1960 he had lived in Denmark.

The prince was fluent in French, English, Danish, Italian and Russian.

“He inherited his love of the Russian language and culture from his parents,” his wife said, adding that in 2015 the prince visited the Crimean Peninsula – the place his relatives had to leave from and move abroad during the Russian Civil War.

“He kept as a relic a bottle with Russian soil in his home that was taken by his relatives from Crimea. He welcomed [the fact] that Crimea joined Russia,” Theodora Alexeevna said.

“The activities and thoughts of Dimitri Romanovich during the last years focused on Russia,” his wife said.

Prince Dimitri visited Russia on several occasions in the past years, including those marking the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. “Russian soldiers rescued Europe both in 1914 and during the latest war,” Russian media cited him as saying. “They wouldn’t have made it without Russia.”

Prince Dimitri was a co-founder and chairman of the Romanov Fund for Russia, which was created by seven Romanov princes in 1993 and focused on charitable acts in post-communist Russia.

He also acted as the chairman of the Prince Dimitri Romanov Charity Fund, which was founded in 2006.

Since 1979, Prince Dimitri was a member of the Romanov Family Association, an organization for male-line descendants of Paul I of Russia of the House of Romanov.

In 1998 the prince was present at the reinterring of the remains of Nicholas II, the last Russian Emperor, along with other members of the royal family. In 2016, the prince visited Moscow to receive the Order of Alexander Nevsky, a Russian order of merit, for spreading Russian culture abroad.

1844: Benjamin Disraeli Writes of Rothschild’s Hatred for Russia

Benjamin Disraeli is a British-Jewish literary figure and aspiring politician. He will become two-time Prime Minister of Britain (1868, and again in 1874) and the dominant politician of 19th century Europe. Long before his rise to prominence, Disraeli publishes a political novel, Coningsby: The New Generation. Although fictional, Coningsby is based on contemporary British politics.

In the book, there is a character named Sidonia who represents Lionel de Rothschild (son of Nathan). Sidonia reveals to the politician Coningsby how unseen forces – the Jewish “Sidonias” foremost among them, shape Europe’s affairs and secret revolutionary movements.
Sidonia (Rothschild) reveals his dislike for the Romanov Family (Russia’s Tsars): ” there has been no friendship between the Court of  St. Petersburg (Russia) and my family.”

Disraeli, a “baptised” Jew was extremely close to the Rothschild Family

1853-1856: The Crimean War

The Crimean War is fought between the Russian Empire, and an alliance of Britain, France, and the Ottoman Empire (Turkey). Most of the conflict takes place on the Crimean Peninsula (Black Sea/Ukraine). On the surface, the war is fought for influence over territory of the Ottomans; including control of the Holy Land (Palestine).

Russian Tzar, Nicholas I, seeks to avoid war by assuring Britain that its only interest is to protect fellow Orthodox Christians under Muslim Ottoman rule. But Rothschild’s Britain is determined to fight Russia. France will join them.

The Rothschild Family finances the British-French war effort against the Tsar.

Russia loses the war and valuable Black Sea ports.

To keep the Russian Navy away from the Middle East (future home of Israel) Lionel de Rothschild financed the Crimean War against Russia.

1873: The League of the Three Emperors Blocks French and British Intrigue in Central and Eastern Europe

German Chancellor Bismarck’s brilliant move thwarts Rothschild’s ambitions.

In order to dominate the East and make inroads towards the Middle East, the mighty Three Emperors League must be broken up.

British cartoon shows an unflattering portrayal of the Three Emperors as being puppets of Chancellor Bismarck.

1877-1878: Russia and Its Balkan Allies Win a War Against the Ottoman Turkish Empire

General Skobolyov was the leader of the combined Orthodox armies on the Balkan front during the Russo-Turkish War. He liberated much of Orthodox Romania, Serbia, and Bulgaria from Ottoman control.

1878: Rothschild Agent and U.K. Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, Interferes in the Congress of Berlin

At the post war peace talks in Berlin, U.K. Prime Minister Disraeli uses his influence on behalf of the defeated Turks. Disraeli also drives a wedge between Austria-Hungary and Russia by arranging for some of Russia’s newly liberated Orthodox allies to be placed under Austro-Hungarian rule. The tension which Disraeli has deliberately engineered causes the Three Emperors League to disband.

Political cartoons from that era depict Disraeli plotting at the Berlin Congress and carrying Ottoman Turkey on his back.

1881: Reds Assassinate Tsar Alexander

Rothschild’s Red terrorists finally succeed in assassinating Tsar Alexander. With his son Alexander III and grandson Nicholas watching, the Marxists hurl bombs at the Tsar’s carriage. Parts of Alexander’s legs are blown off and he bleeds to death.

Red radicals have always been controlled by the NWO bankers — think George Soros

1894: Frances Lures Russia into the Franco-Russian Alliance

Isolated from its former allies Germany and Austria-Hungary (thanks to Disraeli’s divide and conquer schemes at the Berlin Congress), Russia entangles itself in France’s web of intrigue. The Franco-Russian Alliance binds the two nations into a military bloc.

The great Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy would condemn the Franco-Russian Alliance as a French trick to entangle Russia in a future war against France’s enemy (Germany). Tolstoy sarcastically described the  suddenly friendly French as “people who, without reason, suddenly professed such spontaneous and exceptional love for Russia”.

1905: Jacob Schiff Finances the Japanese Victory in The Russo-Japanese War; Teddy Roosevelt Plots against Russia

Schiff’s financing of Japan’s war with Russia will earn him a Medal from the Japanese Emperor! Schiff’s puppet-boy Teddy Roosevelt won a Nobel Peace Prize for tilting the peace terms in Japan’s favour.

During the 1700’s, the Schiff and Rothschild families shared a two-family home in Frankfurt.

1905: Rothschild’s Reds Use the Opportunity of the Russo-Japanese War to Attempt a Revolution

Rothschild’s Jewish Reds failed in 1905. But they would return again.

1907: Britain and France Lure Russia into a Honey Baited Trap – The Triple Entente

The table for the coming ‘Great War’ was further set when Britain linked up with the Franco-Russian Alliance to form ‘The Triple Entente’. Russia’s former enemies, and their Rothschild masters, sought to use Russian power to help them take out Germany. For its part, Russia saw the alliance as an opportunity to settle old scores with the Ottoman Turks; by reclaiming, for the Orthodox world, the strategic and historic port city of Constantinople.

Today known as Istanbul, Constantinople was once the centre of the Eastern Roman Empire and its Orthodox Church. Its strategic location would also have given Russia free access to the Mediterranean. This was the bait used to lure Russia into a “Holy Alliance” with the schemers of France and Britain.

1914-1917: Russia Sucked into World War I

The fuse for the pre-planned World War powder keg was lit with the assassination of Austrian Archduke Ferdinand in 1914. Serbia was blamed in the Austrian press. When Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, Russia declared was on Austria-Hungary. The other dominoes soon fell. With a few weeks, Germany, Ottoman Turkey and Austria-Hungary were at war with Russia, France and Britain.

Germany allied with Turkey. Both Germany and Russia suffered horrendous casualties. In the end, The Great War would bring down 4 Empires; Russia, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Turkey, and Germany. Rothschild agents would then assume control over all four.

1917: Rothschild’s Reds Revolt in Russia

As was the case in 1905, discontent over a lost war effort is skillfully used to instigate a “popular uprising”. The February Revolution of 1917 overthrows the Tsar and establishes a Democratic Socialist system. The Tsar is taken into custody awaiting exile. Immediately, exiled (and well funded!) Communists start pouring back into Russia from the West. In October of that same year, Kerensky is overthrown as the Reds announce a dictatorship.

Western based Jewish bankers financed Lenin and his terrorist gang.

1918: The Bolsheviks Execute the Tsar and his Entire Family

The Tsar’s “friends” in Britain and France would not grant him asylum. On the eve of July 6th, 1918, the royal Romanov Family is awakened at 2AM, told to dress, and then herded into the cellar of the house in which they are being held. Moments later, Jewish Red killers storm in and gun down the entire family, their doctor, and three servants in cold blood. Some of the Romanov daughters are stabbed and clubbed to death after initial gunfire fails to kill them.

Who gave the order to massacre the Romanovs?

1918: Ruined Russia Gets Nothing As Britain Breaks up the Ottoman Empire

Tolstoy was right! Russians died so that “allies” Britain and France could ruin Germany and also seize Palestine on behalf of the Rothschild Crime Gang.

1919: Under the Terms of Britain’s 1917 “Balfour Declaration”, European Jews Begin Immigrating to British Ruled Palestine

The plot behind the ‘Balfour Agreement’ was actually hatched in 1916. The Zionists offered to bring the USA into the war on Britain’s side. In exchange, Britain was expected to take Palestine away from Turkey and allow Jews to begin migrating there. All along, Russia was never supposed to have been allowed to claim Constantinople, or any parts of the Ottoman Empire. The Russians, and all nations, were played for fools.

The Balfour Declaration was addressed to Walter Rothschild.

Jewish immigration to Palestine started out on a small scale, and has since progressed to total domination.

1918-1922: The Russian Civil War Pits ‘Reds’ Vs ‘Whites’

After 4 years of fighting against the Reds and enduring the “Red Terror”, the enemies of the Bolshevik-Communists finally succumb. The establishment of USSR and the Communist International are proclaimed.

Today! Rothschild’s game against the new Russia of ‘tsar’ Vladimir Putin continues.

Chess legend Garry Kasparov is a relentless agitator against Vladimir Putin and the new Russia. Kasparov will often provoke his own arrest so that images of “repressive Russia” can be broadcast on Western TV.

Kiev’s terrorist attack “invasion” of Crimea has killed two Russian servicemen, whereas Ukraine’s claim of a Russian “invasion” and takeover of Crimea did not kill anyone. What’s wrong with the picture?

The answer to that is the most overlooked missing link in the whole Ukraine upheaval. For a coup to become successful legally, it must establish control over the entire country, or it is a failed coup.

Those areas that are able to successfully oppose and reject the coup, who did not vote in the election to validate it cannot be called rebels, because the coup “rebels” overthrew the government in Kiev that Crimeans were loyal to.

Having been a part of Russia during modern history, and the majority population having been Russian, it does not take a rocket scientist to understand Crimea’s urge to reunite with Russia to annul Nikita Khrushchev’s having given it away to Ukraine in one of the biggest recorded acts of patronage.

To that we can add the spectacle of the Neo-Nazi MPs in the UkrainianRada ranting from the podium about what they were going to do to the ethnic Russia in the Donbass area.

Nor have we forgotten Yulia Tymoshenko’s taped conversation about her wanting to “nuke” all the ethnic Russians in the Southeast, and then continue on killing them in Russia. Good gosh, what’s not to love about that if you’re a Russian living in Crimea?

Kiev’s statements that Russia had made this whole event up were just another example of the delusional state of mind they are working from. It did not take a genius to see that no mention in the public reports was made about killed, wounded or captured Ukrainian attackers.

We did not have to wait long for captured Yevgeny Panov’s video confession, held back after Kiev made an even bigger fool of itself by wanting to take the “provocation by Crimea” against Ukraine to the UN Security Council. You just can’t make this stuff up. So we have just another fiasco manufactured by the gang that can’t shoot straight in Ukraine, and who are a national security risk to the entire country and its neighbors.

NATO weighed in with its pathological reputation intact, claiming that Russia has produced no credible evidence for a terrorist attack. These are the kind of people that will pee on your shoes and then tell you it is raining. Dear NATO, your attitude toward the public is one of contempt and there is a mountain of evidence to support that. If you would like to debate VT about it, give us a call... Jim W. Dean

Meet the citizen activists from Ukraine

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has disrupted a plot to carry out terrorist attacks in the Republic of Crimea. The attacks, planned by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s Chief Intelligence Directorate, targeted critical infrastructure and facilities in Crimea. Russia’s intelligence services take the view that these planned acts of sabotage and terrorism were intended to destabilize the socio-political situation in the region in the run-up to federal and regional elections.

A group of saboteurs were apprehended near the town of Armyansk on the night of August 6. An FSB officer was shot and killed in the process of apprehending the terrorists. Explosive devices with a total charge of more than 40 kilograms of TNT, munitions, grenades, land mines and other weapons were found at the scene.

Ukrainian Defence Ministry special units made two further attempts to infiltrate Crimean territory in the early hours of August 8, but the groups of saboteurs and terrorists were intercepted by the FSB and other Russian forces.

These attempts to infiltrate Crimea took place under cover from armoured equipment and massive fire by Ukrainian armed forces from inside Ukrainian territory. One Russian Defence Ministry serviceman was killed as a result.

A handcuffed man identified as Yevgeny Panov, suspected of being involved in a group that Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) identified as Ukrainian ‘saboteurs,’ is led by FSB officers in Crimea, on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016. (Russian Federal Security Service Press Service via AP)

Russia has now taken action to dismantle the Ukrainian Defence Ministry Chief Intelligence Directorate’s network of agents in Crimea and have detained Ukrainian and Russian citizens who aided in the preparation of these terrorist attacks.

The detained individuals include Yevgeny Panov and Andrey Zakhtey. All of them have admitted their involvement and are giving a confession.

We have repeatedly brought to our partners’ attention that the current authorities in Kiev have no real interest in searching for a peaceful solution to the problems in Ukraine, are not ready to compromise, and intend to resolve issues that arise through the use of force, including terrorism now.

The attempts to enter Crimea unlawfully, the recent attempt on the life of Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitsky, the constant firing along the line of contact in Donbass, and the actions of radical nationalists and so-called ‘activists’ from around Ukraine that go beyond the bounds of any lawful framework are a vivid illustration of the state of affairs in Ukraine today.

The numerous provocations, efforts to portray Moscow as the enemy, and the deliberate cultivation of anti-Russian sentiments are an attempt by the Ukrainian government to distract the public from the country’s own troubles and the problems affecting the majority of people in Ukraine.

We see a deliberate effort to divert public attention from the actions and responsibility of those in power and their inability to carry out long overdue reforms and conduct an honest investigation into the murders of journalists and human rights activists and the crimes committed in 2014 during the Maidan protests, in Odessa, Mariupol, and other cities.

Ukraine’s government makes loud declarations in a bid to deny what is evident and pass responsibility for its own actions to others, even the UN Security Council – anything to avoid taking meaningful steps to normalize the situation.

We call on our partners, whose efforts play a large part in keeping the current regime in Kiev in power, to show common sense and finally get their Ukrainian wards to end their constant provocations and fulfil their obligations in accordance with Minsk Agreements on a political settlement in Ukraine.

Mr Poroshenko constantly touts the “unconditional support from the USA, NATO, and the European Union” in his “fight to return annexed Crimea”. The West’s willingness to play along with this rhetoric undoubtedly played a role in the Ukrainian leadership’s criminal decision to attempt an armed provocation in Russian Crimea.

If the commander in chief of Ukraine’s armed forces was involved in these decisions, he will have driven the final nail in the coffin of the peace process. If these decisions were taken without his knowing, then it is even worse.

Kiev’s inaction in the face of growing militaristic rhetoric and violent acts planned and executed by so-called volunteer battalions and other extremists is cause for grave concern. We hope that Western capitals will draw the appropriate conclusions.

Attempts to destabilize the situation in Russian Crimea are doomed to fail. Russia unconditionally guarantees Crimea’s stability and security. Kiev and its foreign backers should know that any harm to Russia or the deaths of Russian personnel will not go unanswered.

As President Vladimir Putin noted on August 10, given the current situation and until we see real positive steps from Kiev, like renouncing terror and provocations, it makes little sense to hold Normandy format meetings, like the Beijing meeting in early September requested by Mr Poroshenko recently.

Once again, we call on our partners to use their influence with Kiev to dissuade the government from taking any dangerous steps that could have grave consequences. Playing with fire is dangerous.

The Crimean head says the Ukrainian officials “wouldn’t have had the courage to hold such actions”

The former emblem of the Ukrainian army is covered in paint in the colors of Russia on the gate of a Crimean military base

The Crimean leader is pointing the finger of blame at John Kerry’s State Department; we feel this is only partially correct. Yes, the U.S. is probably behind this attempted attack, but it is more likely to have been the Zionist Neocons as they are the ones behind the Ukrainian junta, having put them in power in the first place.

The U.S. Department of State is behind the Ukrainian authorities’ attempts to carry out terrorist acts in Crimea, Crimean Head Sergei Aksyonov said in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV Channel on Thursday.

“You see, upon which path they [the Ukrainian authorities] have embarked – the path of terror. That is, they have decided to transfer abroad the method they have tested against their own citizens. But at the same time I’m confident that these are not their own actions and intentions – the U.S. Department of State is behind them because Ukrainian officials wouldn’t have had the courage to hold such actions,” the Crimean head said.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on August 10 that it had prevented terrorist acts in Crimea that had been prepared by the Main Intelligence Department of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

One FSB officer was killed during the operation to detain the terrorists. Later a serviceman of Russia’s Defence Ministry was killed as the saboteurs made a second attempt of intrusion. The terrorist attacks were designed to target critical infrastructure and life support facilities of Crimea.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russia would do everything to ensure the security of citizens and infrastructure in Crimea. The Russian president called as silly and criminal the attempt by Ukrainian special services to carry out a subversive act in Crimea. He said their attempt was aimed at distracting attention from internal Ukrainian problems.

G7 Boldly Displays its Lies Regarding anti-Russia Sanctions*

G7 Boldly Displays its Lies Regarding anti-Russia Sanctions*

By Eric Zuesse

The official statement from the G7 group, of leading industrialised countries, publicly exposes the entire G7 group, by basing on provable and even blatant lies, the group’s support for continuation of Barack Obama’s anti-Russia sanctions.

In its statement at the conclusion of the meeting of the G7 countries on May 27th, the G7 nations — the U.S. (who dictate to the others), plus the six others (who always do what they’re told): Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Canada, and U.K. — said in their joint statement (which I shall accompany here by links to relevant sources, plus comments and questions from myself, for the purpose of clarification):

“We stand united in our conviction that the conflict in Ukraine can only be solved by diplomatic means and in full respect for international law, especially the legal obligation to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence [even though they don’t similarly deny the rights of Catalonians to separate from Spain, nor of Scotts to separate from U.K., if that’s what the people there want]. We reiterate our condemnation of the illegal annexation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia [as those links show, the illegality was actually Obama’s coup in Kiev, not what either the Crimeans or Russia did] and reaffirm our policy of its non-recognition and sanctions against those involved [those being sanctions solely against Russia, for having accepted the request of 97% of Crimeans to become Russian citizens, and for protecting Crimeans from being invaded by the Ukrainian army and air force].

We are concerned by continued violence along the line of contact in violation of the ceasefire [in the far-eastern Donbass portion of Ukraine]; we urge all sides to take concrete steps that will lead to the complete ceasefire required under the Minsk agreements. We also urge all sides to fulfil their commitments without delay with a view to holding local elections in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions [the two regions that together make up Donbass, the part of Ukraine that had voted 90% for the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, whom Obama overthrew in February 2014] as soon as possible in accordance with the Minsk agreements. We emphasize our strongest support for full implementation of the Minsk agreements and the work of the Normandy format and the Trilateral Contact Group. We expect Russia [but not the Ukrainian government] to live up to its commitments and use its influence over the separatists to meet their commitments in full. [This passage acknowledges that Russia has only ‘influence’ over the separatists, not control over them, and yet only Russia is being demanded here to meet its alleged ‘commitments’, which would be precisely what, if Russia doesn’t control the separatists, and if Russia exercises no ‘influence’ at all on the other side, the Ukrainian government?] We stress the OSCE’s key role in helping to deescalate the crisis, and we call upon all sides, particularly the separatists [why ‘particularly’ the separatists — is this supposed to be an unbiased neutral statement, which it clearly is not?], to provide the organization’s monitors full and unfettered access throughout the conflict zone.

We recall that the duration of sanctions is clearly linked to Russia’s complete implementation of the Minsk agreements [yet again, the G7’s statement is clearly and singularly hostile against Russia, and supportive of the coup-imposed Ukrainian government] and respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty [but what about the right of self-determination of peoples, which even the West recognizes in the cases of Scotland’s right to separate from U.K., and Catalonia’s right to separate from Spain — but NOT in Donbass’s and Crimea’s right to separate from Ukraine, though Donbass had voted 90% for Yanukovych, and Crimea had voted 75% for him, and the post-coup Ukrainian regime was rabidly hostile to them and calling the residents there ‘terrorists’ for rejecting Ukraine’s coup-government as their government?]. Sanctions can be rolled back when Russia meets these commitments [what ‘commitments’, that are only by one side of the dispute — and not even by one of the two sides in the dispute, neither by the Ukrainian government, nor by the separatists?]. However, we also stand ready to take further restrictive measures [here the warmongering G7 are actually threatening to increase sanctions against Russia, though their case for even having those sanctions is based entirely upon lies] in order to increase cost on Russia should its actions so require [according to what standard, and judged by whom — them?]. We recognize the importance of maintaining dialogue with Russia [but if this assertion weren’t a lie, then would their entire statement here be so incredibly one-sided and false as it so obviously is?] in order to ensure it abides by the commitments it [yet again referring only to Russia] has made as well as international law and to reach a comprehensive, sustainable and peaceful solution to the crisis.

We commend and support the steps Ukraine is taking [can anyone but a full-fledged idiot fail to recognize how biased in favour of the Ukrainian government and against the Russian government — how totally one-sided — this statement is?] to implement comprehensive structural, governance and economic reforms and encourage Ukraine to continue and accelerate the process. We urge Ukraine to maintain and enhance the momentum in its fight against corruption and its judicial reform, including the Prosecutor General’s office. We are fully committed to providing long-term support to this end [does that mean anything more than providing yet more taxpayer-backed loans to get the bankrupt Ukrainian government even deeper into debt and austerity than it already is and to sell off in insider-rigged ‘auctions’ virtually the entire Ukrainian government?]. We also commend the work of the Ukraine support group of G7 Ambassadors in Kyiv.”

Three underlying suppositions of that statement are:

1: All of the violations of the Minsk agreements were by Russia.

2: Russia controls what the independence forces in the separatist Donbass region of the former Ukraine do, and is therefore responsible for everything that those forces do, including any Minsk-violation they might commit.

3 (a corollary of 1&2): The Ukrainian government never violates the Minsk agreements, or else must suffer no sanctions for having done so: only Russia can be blamed for any failure to comply with the Minsk agreements.

All 3 are blatantly false.

1: Many of the violations were by the Ukrainian government, and most if not all the rest were by Donbass separatist forces firing back at forces attacking from the Ukrainian government. Self-defence against attacks from the other side doesn’t violate any agreement, and it certainly isn’t a violation of the Minsk agreements. (The residents of Luhansk and Donetsk had never agreed to be sitting ducks for Ukrainian soldiers and airmen intent upon killing them.)

2: Russia doesn’t control what the separatist forces do, but does provide essential assistance to those forces — and there is a big difference between providing such assistance, and having control over those forces.

3: Here are some direct and indisputable violations of the Minsk agreements, by the Ukrainian government (totally ignored by the G7’s statement, just cited here):

Measure 4 of the agreement — which was signed on 12 February 2015 — states that,

“Without delays, but no later than 30 days from the date of signing of this document [i.e., by no later than 13 March 2015], a resolution has to be approved by the Verkhovna Rada [parliament] of Ukraine, indicating the territory which falls under the special regime in accordance with the law ‘On temporary Order of Local Self-Governance in Particular Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts,’ based in the line set up by the Minsk Memorandum as of 19 September 2014.”

It wasn’t only a required action, but also an action required to have been taken by no later than a specific date, and it was not done. Instead, on 12 March 2015, Radio Free Europe headlined “A Bipartisan Cause In Washington: Arming Ukraine Against Russia” and reported that, “consensus appears to be snowballing among Democratic and Republican lawmakers in the U.S. capital on at least one issue: arming Ukraine. One exception, however, is the figure who matters most: President Barack Obama.” No reason was given for his hesitation on this, but by this time it was clear that Ukraine would be in stark violation already of the Minsk II accord — barely a mere month after its passage. The U.S. Congress can ignore international legalities and be unconcerned about the public appearance abroad (that America doesn’t really care about international legalities), but the U.S. President needs to keep up the legalistic front so as not to embarrass too much the leaders of America’s client-states such as Germany and France (which had initiated the Minsk agreements: after all, Obama’s agent who orchestrated the coup had said at the time, “F–k the EU!”; but there’s a limit to the public humiliation that even the most cooperative of the White House’s stooges can reasonably be expected to tolerate).

The crucial March 13th date came and went, without being mentioned in Western ‘news’ media. (And please note here that the 27 May 2016 G7 statement says “We also urge all sides to fulfill their commitments without delay,” but simply ignores that Ukraine didn’t only “delay,” Ukraine still refuses to comply.) Then, four days later, at the Fort Russ website on March 17th, appeared the headline “Back to war? Ukrainian parliament rejects the Minsk agreement”, and reported that, “A month after the Minsk agreement the masks are off. New weapons are coming, American instructors are in Ukraine, the IMF credit is approved. Time to get back to killing the kids of Donbass. Where are the sanctions on Kiev?” That information was unpublishable in the West’s ‘news’ media — their ‘journalistic’ standards exclude such ‘Russian propaganda’ as this. Truth doesn’t set these standards; power does, and the G7 (and their aristocracies’ ‘news’ media) have the power.

The Minsk II agreement set up a 13-stage process; and each stage beyond stage three, every stage from #4 on through #13, is in abeyance, because the Ukrainian government refuses to implement its side of them. As a consequence of Ukraine’s refusals, the G7 group are demanding intensification of the anti-Russia sanctions, on the basis of blaming Russia for all violations of the Minsk accords. Blaming Russia for all of them is the official ‘truth’, and the ‘news’ media comply with it. (Similarly, in 2002 and 2003, the ‘news’ media, in order to assist the U.S. government to eliminate another Russian-allied leader, Saddam Hussein, had complied with the official ‘truth’ about ‘Saddam’s WMD’ — that those nuclear-weapons equipments and materials still existed, and that they threatened the West, though the IAEA actually said that they had destroyed all of Saddam’s nuclear-weapons-related capabilities and materials in 1998, and the press simply hid this crucial information from the public, and allowed George W. Bush to state without challenge, citing “the IAEA, that they were six months away from developing a weapon” — an entirely fabricated charge against Saddam. Geoffrey Perret wrote (p. 349): “After inspections resumed in November 2002, the IAEA concluded that there were no nuclear weapons and no program to build them. That was why the Niger yellowcake story had to be cooked up.” So: Iraq was invaded on 19 March 2003, on entirely fabricated ‘evidence’, which an honest press would have exposed, instead of stenographically ‘reported’. And now, we’re heading into World War III, this way.)

Whose PawnAnother item in Minsk II that has a deadline is #11: “Constitutional reform in Ukraine, with a new constitution to come into effect by the end of 2015, the key element of which is decentralisation (taking into account peculiarities of particular districts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, agreed with representatives of these districts).” That deadline, too, came and went, and is still being ignored by the G7 and ‘the West’; and the reason it hasn’t been complied with, not even after the deadline passed, has likewise been that Ukraine refuses to comply with it (which is the reason why the West’s ‘news’ media ignore it).

The extension or even intensification of sanctions, and the NATO build-up on Russia’s borders, are steps along the road to WW III, but Western ‘news’ media have been so effective at their function (propaganda), so that their respective publics are unconcerned about the risks of nuclear annihilation resulting, and about the increasing closeness of whatever event will spark such a global nuclear war, because those publics don’t even know the most important things that are happening in their‘democratic’ countries.

Here’s a video at Fort Russ on 1 June 2016, showing “Texas visits frontline DPR positions”. But such evidence is irrelevant to the G7 leaders (Obama, Merkel, Hollande, Abe, Cameron, Renzi, Trudeau): they’ve got an entire world to destroy, and they’re too busy doing it, to care about evidence that shows them to be all liars. (Not a single one of them said, to the G7’s proposed statement: NO — I will not sign this!!!)

Is the path to nuclear annihilation being created by an elite of hypocritical liars and a mass of their deceived suckers? Can anything destroy this path, and so block those liars from destroying the world? Will any major news medium in the West finally separate itself from the chorus of liars and start to report the terrifying truth of these matters — while there is still time left to avert global calamity?

Crimean Parliament Votes to Join Russia*

The Crimean parliament has voted for the region to join Russia. The decision will only come in force if approved by the Crimeans at a referendum which will be held in 10 days.

Crimean MPs voted on Thursday for the region to “to become part of the Russian Federation as its constituent territory,” says the text of the regional parliament’s statement.

78 MPs said yes to Crimea joining Russia, while 8 abstained from voting.

When the decision was announced to several thousand people waiting outside the parliament building, they, according to Itar-Tass, welcomed the news with cheers and screams of “Russia!”

The parliament has also made a decision to ask the Russian leadership to “launch the procedure of Crimea becoming part of Russia.”

The speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, explained that the parliament’s decision on the region joining Russia still has to be approved at a referendum, which has been scheduled for March 16. That’s two weeks earlier than announced last week.

We are not in a rush, but that’s what the current situation demands,” Konstantinov told Itar-Tass. ‘We are trying to address the sentiments currently shared by the population. Those are uncertainty and fear. We must give them confidence and offer a clear political way out of the crisis.

There will be two questions on the Crimean referendum ballots.

The first one: Are you in favor of Crimea becoming a constituent territory of the Russian Federation. The second one: Are you in favor of restoring Crimea’s 1992 constitution,” the autonomous region’s First Deputy-Premier Rustam Temirgaliev said.

According to the 1992 constitution, the autonomous republic is part of Ukraine but has relations with Kiev, defined on the basis of mutual agreements.

The variant which gets the simple majority will be the winner in the referendum.

Sevastopol residents will take part in the referendum, despite the city enjoying a special status and not officially being a part of Crimea, according to Sergey Shuvainikov, a Crimean MP.

We will give Sevastopol an opportunity to have its say,” he said, as cited by RIA Novosti.

Kiev has reacted by describing the referendum illegitimate.

My position is that this referendum is unconstitutional,” the coup-imposed Ukraine’s economy minister, Pavlo Sheremeta, said as cited by Reuters.

Acting Ukrainian President Oleksander Turchinov said authorities in Crimea region were “totally illegitimate, both the parliament and the government.”

They are forced to work facing the barrel of a gun and all their decisions are dictated by fear and are illegal,” Turchinov’s spokeswoman said.

Crimea’s authorities have meanwhile announced that they are ready to nationalize all Ukrainian state enterprises and introduce a ruble zone in the region in case the referendum decides in favor of joining Russia, according to Interfax.

Russia’s State Duma (parliament) is ready to consider the possibility of Crimea joining Russia, according to the head of the Duma committee on the affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Leonid Slutsky.

The State Duma will consider any bills concerning this issue when the referendum has taken place and when the Russian leadership has made a decision on it,” Slutsky said as cited by RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, the Crimean authorities said they were still negotiating a way out of the current crisis with the OSCE. The speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said talks were under way and more were still to come.

Facts you need to know about Crimea and why it is in turmoil

More than half the Crimean population are Russian and use only this language for their communication.

Crimean authorities denounced the self-proclaimed government in Kiev and declared that all Ukrainian law enforcement and military deployed in the peninsula must take orders from them. The majority of troops in Crimea switched sides in favor of the local authorities.
