China Puts Bombers on High Alert*

By Tyler Durden

The U.S. has seen evidence that the Chinese military is preparing “for a potential North Korea contingency“, CNN reports citing a U.S. defence official, and adds that Chinese air force land-attack, cruise-missile-capable bombers were put “on high alert” on Wednesday.

The official added that the U.S. has also seen an extraordinary number of Chinese military aircraft being brought up to full readiness through intensified maintenance.

The official said that these recent steps by the Chinese are assessed as part of an effort to “reduce the time to react to a North Korea contingency.”

Among the contingency options listed is the “risk of an armed conflict breaking out as tensions on the peninsula have risen in the wake of multiple North Korean missile tests.”

There has also been ratcheted up rhetoric from the US and Pyongyang, with the latter’s state media warning Thursday that a pre-emptive strike by North Korea would result in the U.S. and South Korea being “completely destroyed in an instant.”

Beijing has long been concerned about potential instability in North Korea should the regime in Pyongyang collapse, fearing both an influx of refugees and the potential of reunification under a South Korean government closely allied to the U.S.

Meanwhile, China remains opposed to the U.S. military’s presence in South Korea, protesting the recent U.S. and South Korea decision to begin deploying elements of the THAAD missile defense system.

Given the close economic links between North Korea and China, U.S. military officials have said that Beijing is critical to solving the North Korean situation, with President Donald Trump recently commending Chinese President Xi Jinping for Chinese efforts to curb Pyongyang’s activities.

Earlier on Thursday, Nikkei reported that as a form of ratcheting up pressure on North Korea, China may halt crude exports to North Korea should Pyongyang conduct its sixth nuclear test, “signalling a tougher attitude by Beijing.”

One Corrupt President Ousted*

One Corrupt President Ousted*

South Koreans are celebrating her removal, and now they want her to be locked in prison for her crimes and corruption.

Now-former President Park Geun-hye faces at least 13 charges after having businesses donate to a fraudulent Foundation in exchange for political favours.

She also shared highly classified State secrets with a female aide with whom she had an intimate relationship. Police arrested her before she could destroy or tamper with the evidence.

Via the use of subtle propaganda, she had the people of South Korea convinced she was a champion of progress and human values. When they uncovered the truth, however, millions of people took the streets and demanded she step down and be arrested.

Thanks to the people’s determination, the now-former South Korean President has indeed been arrested, reports say.

The arrest took place today and a convoy of black vehicles was observed transporting her to jail.

The people of South Korea began celebrating upon hearing the news.

“Finally we see that it can happen. Justice is real,” said one commenter.

The disgraced politician was found to be involved in numerous instances of high-profile corruption which resulted in over two million people taking to the streets to protest against her.

It was also reported that she was involved in occult activity or rituals during which she believed entities were taking “complete control” of “her body and mind.”

The Seoul Central District Court gave prosecutors permission to proceed with the arrest now that she has been impeached.

Despite her crimes against people, some of her die hard supporters (mostly elderly people who may not have been aware of the news) were still calling her “president.”

They tried to block the convoy of cars so that she couldn’t be taken to jail. Police pushed those people aside and continued with the arrest.

Now that she’s behind bars, official charges are expected to be filed within 20 days and a sentencing is expected by Winter.

She is expected to be charged with several counts of bribery and abuses of power. Just one bribery conviction can result in life imprisonment in some cases.

She was reportedly taking millions in “donations” from businesses, though the businesses said they felt forced to give it to her.

She was also letting the daughter of an occultist see highly classified information, and that daughter would then make policy decisions despite being unelected.

She was South Korea’s first female president and also the first president to be impeached and locked up with the possibility of life imprisonment.

South Korean police are being hailed as heroes for doing the right thing. They wasted no time arresting her, as they feared she would try to destroy the evidence.

The protests were a supreme show of force against the president, and she had no choice but to leave

The rebellion started brewing when it was uncovered that the president had been involved in a secret occult organization. Evidently she invited her body to be under the control of “spirit” entities.

Many people allege that political elites would never be involved in dark spiritual activity or rituals, but in this case, at least, that is precisely what occurred.

Choi Soon-sil is the daughter of a cult leader who was involved in what some are calling “satanic rituals” in the 1990s. It would be more accurately described as occultic shamanism

Choi Soon-sil developed an intimate relationship with the South Korean president, where she began invoking spiritual beings to possess the president’s mind and body — and the president, at any rate, believed it was real, took it seriously, and welcomed it.

It is important to understand that the media in South Korea largely downplayed the occult aspects. But that did not stop the protesters, for it also turned out that the president was sharing classified information and state secrets with Choi Soon-sil during their relationship.

Courthouse News Service reports as follows:

“Lee accused Park of colluding with longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil to extort tens of millions of dollars from businesses and letting Choi, a private citizen, meddle in state affairs and receive and look at documents with state secrets. Those allegations were previously made by prosecutors, but Park has refused to undergo any questioning, citing a law that gives a sitting leader immunity from prosecution.”

Choi Soon-sil would then instruct the president on what decisions to make, making the president a mere puppet.

The president (left) claimed that her mind and body “were under the complete control” of the occult practitioner.

Essentially the South Koreans were being governed by an unelected cult practitioner.

Corruption and bizarre occult beliefs were enough for the Sourth Koreans to flood the streets.

Moreover, they are deeply dissatisfied with the impeachment. What they really wanted was for the president to be arrested for her crimes, not merely impeached.

North Korean Paranoia is Well-Founded*

North Korean Paranoia is Well-Founded*

By Ulson Gunnar

North Korea is depicted across U.S. and European media as a backward nation run by a despotic, delusional leader encircled by advisers suffering from irrational, militant paranoia. The nation is also depicted as a prominent security threat in Asia-Pacific despite North Korea waging no wars in the region since an armistice in 1953 effectively ended the Korean War.

A despotic, delusional leadership, however, most likely would not possess nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles and a large conventional army and yet restrain its use regardless of decades of provocations engineered along its borders by the United States and its allies within the South Korean government. Likewise, a nation governed by the entirely irrational would be incapable of maintaining, even expanding ties with neighbouring states like China.

Yet in reality, North Korea has done all of this.

Much of the U.S. and Europe’s accusations are predicated on the continued development of North Korea’s defence programs including advances in nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles. Strategically omitted from U.S. and European rhetoric are the provocations the West itself is guilty of, spurring along North Korea’s expanding militarization.

What if, then, North Korea’s allegedly irrational paranoia was well-founded?

As former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s health deteriorated, the United States and its regional allies began planning quite openly for an opportunity to overturn the North Korean state.  U.S.-based think tank, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), would publish a 2009, 60-page report titled, “Preparing for Sudden Change in North Korea,” in which scenarios for the full-scale invasion, occupation and subjugation of North Korea were laid out.

The report included recommendations for an invasion and occupation force it called a “stabilization force,” of up to 460,000 U.S. and allied troops.

Considering that, by 2009, the United States had already successfully invaded, occupied and destroyed the nations of Iraq and Afghanistan, it would not be “irrational” at all for North Korean paranoia to reach new heights.

The missing ingredients Iraq and Afghanistan had in facing U.S. invasion were substantial defence programs that could deter U.S. aggression. North Korea’s possession of increasingly sophisticated nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles means that the price, each year, rises for any attempted implementation of the plans included in the CFR’s 2009 report.

For North Korea and its ties with Beijing, it is only a matter of time before a certain threshold is reached where US invasion and occupation is all but impossible. After this threshold is reached, it is likely that pan-Asian geopolitics will displace the U.S. almost entirely, if not entirely from Asia-Pacific.

This happened some 63 years ago, but as the U.S. government has never stopped lying about it, and it’s generally known only outside the United States, I’m going to treat it as news.

Here in our little U.S. bubble we’ve heard of a couple versions of a film called The Manchurian Candidate. We’ve heard of the general concept of “brainwashing” and may even associate it with something evil that the Chinese supposedly did to U.S. prisoners during the Korean War. And I’d be willing to bet that the majority of people who’ve heard of these things have at least a vague sense that they’re bullshit.

If you didn’t know, I’ll break it to you right now: people cannot actually be programmed like the Manchurian candidate, which was a work of fiction. There was never the slightest evidence that China or North Korea had done any such thing. And the CIA spent decades trying to do such a thing, and finally gave up.

I’d also be willing to bet that very few people know what it was that the U.S. government promoted the myth of “brainwashing” to cover up. During the Korean War, the United States bombed virtually all of North Korea and a good bit of the South, killing millions of people. It dropped massive quantities of Napalm. It bombed dams, bridges, villages, houses. This was all-out mass-slaughter. But there was something the U.S. government didn’t want known, something deemed unethical in this genocidal madness.

It is well documented that the United States dropped on China and North Korea insects and feathers carrying anthrax, cholera, encephalitis, and bubonic plague. This was supposed to be a secret at the time, and the Chinese response of mass vaccinations and insect eradication probably contributed to the project’s general failure (hundreds were killed, but not millions). But members of the U.S. military taken prisoner by the Chinese confessed to what they had been a part of, and confessed publicly when they got back to the United States.

Some of them had felt guilty to begin with. Some had been shocked at China’s decent treatment of prisoners after U.S. depictions of the Chinese as savages. For whatever reasons, they confessed, and their confessions were highly credible, were borne out by independent scientific reviews, and have stood the test of time.

How to counter reports of the confessions? The answer for the CIA and the U.S. military and their allies in the corporate media was “brainwashing,” which conveniently explained away whatever former prisoners said as false narratives implanted in their brains by brainwashers.

And 300 million of so Americans more or less sort of believe that craziest-ever dog-ate-my-homework concoction to this day!

The propaganda struggle was intense. The support of the Guatemalan government for the reports of U.S. germ warfare in China were part of the U.S. motivation for overthrowing the Guatemalan government; and the same cover-up was likely part of the motivation for the CIA’s murder of Frank Olson.

There isn’t any debate that the United States had been working on bio-weapons for years, at Fort Detrick — then Camp Detrick — and numerous other locations. Nor is there any question that the United States employed the top bio-weapons killers from among both the Japanese and the Nazis from the end of World War II onward. Nor is there any question that the U.S. tested such weapons on the city of San Francisco and numerous other locations around the United States, and on U.S. soldiers. There’s a museum in Havana featuring evidence of years of U.S. bio-warfare against Cuba. We know that Plum Island, off the tip of Long Island, was used to test the weaponization of insects, including the ticks that created the ongoing outbreak of Lyme Disease.

Dave Chaddock’s book This Must Be the Place, which I found via Jeff Kaye’s review, collects the evidence that the United States indeed tried to wipe out millions of Chinese and North Koreans with deadly diseases.

“What does it matter now?” I can imagine people from only one corner of the earth asking.

I reply that it matters that we know the evils of war and try to stop the new ones. U.S. cluster bombs in Yemen, U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan, U.S. guns in Syria, U.S. white phosphorus and Napalm and depleted uranium used in recent years, U.S. torture in prison camps, U.S. nuclear arsenals being expanded, U.S. coups empowering monsters in Ukraine and Honduras, U.S. lies about Iranian nukes, and indeed U.S. antagonization of North Korea as part of that never-yet-ended war — all of these things can be best confronted by people aware of a centuries-long pattern of lying.

And I reply, also, that it is not yet too late to apologize.

MERS had Poor Fatality During Hajj, but Seems to be Doing Well in S. Korea*

A curtain of military censorship is preventing physicians, medical researchers and South Korea’s public health officials from accessing information needed to halt the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). The nation’s first MERS infection was pinned on an 68-year-old Korean businessman who returned to his native Gyeonggi province, 40 km south of the capital Seoul, after visiting an undisclosed location in the Mideast. This first patient remains anonymous and out of reach of the public eye.

Ignored in the worldwide media hysteria is a trail of evidence linking the MERS pandemic to virus research under the Pentagon’s biological warfare program. The following facts indicate the South Korean pandemic, which started in late May, may have been caused by a laboratory accident at the JUPITR bio-warfare project at Osan U.S. Air Force Base, 40 km south of Seoul. This writer’s opinions are bracketed.

– The MERS contagion on the Arabian Peninsula that started in 2012 was caused by bats and not camels as widely reported. Although categorized as a camel disease due to virus-specific antibodies present in that species, MERS has a longer history in humans as the “caveman’s disease” spread through contact with bat-infested cliff-side dwellings along the Nile Valley. The bat-borne virus spread to the human population as a consequence of U.S. Air Force use of GBU-28 bunker-buster bombs tipped with depleted uranium to destroy tunnel systems and caves during the second American-led invasion of Iraq. Infected Egyptian tomb bats were thus forced to find shelter in human-congested towns. Source: microbiologist who worked under Department of Defense contract. (Note: Exposure of bats to DU radiation exposure may have increased virulence of the virus.)

– Naval Research Unit 3 (NAMRU-3), the U.S. biological warfare team based in Cairo, Egypt, subsequently deciphered the genetic code of MERS, identifying it as a coronavirus (CoV), belonging to the same sphere-shaped virus group as SARS and the common cold. The MERS-CoV research was supervised by the Biological Defense Research Directorate at Fort Detrick, Maryland, site of the Pentagon’s top biowarfare laboratory and the Aberdeen Proving Ground. Source: American Forces Press Service. (Note: The official claim that initial samples came from Jordan could be part of a news blackout over the spread of MERS in military-occupied Iraq.)

– On April Fool’s Day 2014, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) inaugurated its Biological Technologies Office with MERS research as its top priority, according to DARPA Director Arati Prabhakar. This Pentagon-funded program outsources biowarfare-related research to dozens of biotech companies and civilian labs at institutes and universities in the U.S. and abroad, for example, Novavax in Maryland and Medicago in Canada, along with undisclosed labs. Source: The Business of Federal Technologies (FCW) magazine

– In the earliest phase of the South Korean outbreak, 100 South Korean military personnel were quarantined at the USAF Osan Air Base, following the MERS infection of a servicemen. This early infection indicates the Korean soldier is the actual Patient Zero. The soldier was reportedly treated for a bone fracture at a private hospital before his transfer to the 151st medical hospital at Osan. Source: Yonhap News Service June 3, 2015. (Note: The bone fracture could indicate that a laboratory accident or a broken shipping case may have been the starting point of the MERS outbreak.)

– Osan Air Base, in Gyeonggi province, is home to the Joint U.S. Forces-Korea Portal and Integrated Threat Recognition advanced technology demonstration (JUPITR ATD), a military biological surveillance program that operates its other lab facility at Fort Detrick, MD. Osan airfield, as the USAF transport hub to Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA-TAC), is the major treatment and evacuation center for injured military personnel and, therefore, a center for biowarfare surveillance and response. (Note: Conveniently, Gyeonggi is reported as the home province of the infected businessman who traveled to the Mideast.)

Global monitoring of the MERS pandemic is led by the World Health Organization (WHO), which also sponsors the secretive Seoul-based the International Vaccine Institute (IVI). The chief scientist and executive director of IVI is a USAF officer seconded into the U.S. Army named Colonel Jerome Kim. He is former head of the Molecular Virology and Pathogenesis Department at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Rockville, Maryland. Included in the WHO-IVI scientific advisory board is Dr. Claudio Lanata, science director of U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit 6 in Callao, Peru, a leading military center for biowarfare development. Source: IVI website. (Note: It should be shocking that the U.S. military controls the WHO’s main virus laboratory. Why have we come to tamely accept such imperial command and control?)

– Researchers at South Korea’s National Institute of Health, examining tissue samples from Korean patients, found that the MERS variant is a “near-match” with the Saudi virus. Source: South Korean Health and Welfare Ministry website. (Note: Noticeable differences in a near-match indicates mutation. In a natural person-to-person transmission, the genetic base pairs of the virus would have been hardly detectable. The minor variations in the ribonucleic acid structure could have resulted in the Korean MERS to be more rapidly transmitted, increasing its potential as a biowarfare agent.)

Public attention to MERS was distracted by the “accidental” shipment of live Sterne strain anthrax from the U.S. Army’s Dugway Proving Ground in Utah to Osan Air Base. (Note: The shipment was possibly organized to falsely attribute any deaths of Korean military personnel to anthrax rather than MERS in order to conceal the weaponization of MERS. If indeed a major bio-warfare attack is being prepared against oil-producing Arab states, it would make sense to transfer the genetic modification task to South Korea.)

WHO as agent of military and pharmaceuticals

The WHO has abetted the spread of airborne pathogens by failing to promote Indoor Air Quality recommendations from Hong Kong doctors for hospitals, clinics, senior homes and schools. As in the prior situation of SARS, the spread of MERS-CoV increases exponentially with virus-load concentrations within an indoor environment. What’s needed are the redesign of medical facilities to prevent aerial transmission among patients and medical staffers, and generation of free-radicals to destroy infectious particles inside titanium dioxide air cleansers.

The spread of MERS inside four Korean hospitals is a reminder of how during the SARS outbreak WHO Director Margaret Chan stubbornly opposed hospital redesign in Hong Kong, thereby revealing herself to be a corrupt promoter of lucrative vaccine research by major pharmaceutical corporations. The hard-learned lessons from the 2002-04 SARS pandemic in Hong Kong and southern China apparently never reached Seoul or Geneva.

The secrecy of its virus institute along with a Biosecurity program for research labs is transforming the WHO into an appendage of the Pentagon and NATO. Its flagrant violations of medical ethics have spurred calls for sweeping reform. WHO served as an acquiescent partner in the deliberate planting of a modified Ebola virus in mineral-rich West Africa, as reported in this author’s seven-essay series, and the spread of MERS in the oil-producing Gulf States.

Legacy of wartime Unit 731

South Korea is today the WHO centre for virology due to the lasting legacy of militarist Japan’s special-weapons group Unit 731. Decades ahead of the US and Britain in virus research, the Japanese military isolated highly contagious Hantavirus in occupied Manchuria during the late 1930s prior to the invention of the electron microscope. The innovative virus program was kept top-secret by disguising it under long-established bacteriological studies of bubonic plague. The viral weapon was deployed against Chinese cities, resulting in the deaths of untold masses of civilian residents and at least 2,000 Japanese soldiers in contagions that spread far more quickly than bubonic plague.

At war’s end 70 years ago, virologists with Unit 731 were cordially invited to continue their deadly research at the U.S. Army’s bio-warfare lab at the Dugway Proving Ground. Although vigorously denied by the CIA, on-the-ground witnesses during the Korean War assert that biological agents were dropped from clandestine night-time flights over the Chinese side of Yalu River valley. On a visit to northern China, one of the surviving civil-defense volunteers told me about cleaning up bundles of straw containing horse hair and rat droppings. His account was consistent with murine (mouse-borne) Hantavirus, which is spread through rat urine and faeces.

Hantavirus proved difficult to control, however, resulting in the deaths of more than 3,000 American soldiers along the Han River (the namesake of Hantavirus), making it among the most lethal self-inflicted errors in the history of warfare. Long after the end of the Korean conflict, Hantavirus continued to kill Americans, including native Indians in the Four Corners region and, more recently, tourists in Yosemite National Park.

Extermination by Gene Modification

Ecology-specific pathogens are developed under geopolitical strategies for specific regions. The UAE is the sole Arab state to participate in the WHO International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, while Israel and ally Turkey take a leading role. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and China have cooperated to decode camel DNA, the first step in the quest for camel antibodies that can resist MERS. The world is locked in a clandestine biological war to either attack or defend entire populations and capture the resources of a region.

Over the past decade, successive outbreaks of gene-modified SARS, avian influenza, ebola and MERS have had the effects of economic sabotage and terror over national populations in concerted attempts to put public-health systems under Western control. The U.S., Canadian, Australian, European and Japanese response is invariably refusal to admit the obvious.

A forensic investigation into the source of Korean MERS is urgently needed. The likelihood of a fair scientific inquiry is, however, practically nil. The government in Seoul is already totally compromised by its blanket cover-up of the likely scenario that the Sewol ferry sinking was caused by an underwater collision with one of the South Korean Navy’s new Dolphin-class submarines built in cooperation with Israel Shipyard Industries. With MERS, its credibility is sinking to new depths.

Forthright answers to the real cause of the MERS outbreak will not readily emerge out of militarist-minded Seoul or from Washington, meaning Arab nations must prepare for worse to come while innocent Koreans continue to lose their lives in collateral damage.

A group of South Korean former “comfort women”, who worked in state-controlled brothels for the US military after the 1950-53 Korean War, has reportedly filed a suit demanding compensation from the authorities for forced prostitution.

It’s the first time that such legal action has been taken regarding the brothels, or “special areas” that were sanctioned by the South Korean government, The Asahi Shimbun media outlet reported.

The women are seeking 10 million won ($9,850) for being made to serve as “US military comfort women” after the Korean War ended in 1953.

The suit, filed on June 25, stated that the South Korean authorities subjugated the women and forced them to provide sex, violating their human rights.

Moreover, the group said that they had been obliged to go through medical check-ups for sexually transmitted diseases.

The plaintiffs also urged the authorities to issue an official apology, revealing the true historical facts.

The Korean War lasted from 1950 till 1953 and split the country in two. During the war, the US intervened as South Korea’s ally, while China were allies of the North.

Throughout the war, UN and South Korean comfort stations operated on the frontline.

However, even after hostilities had ended, between the 1950s and 1960s, some 60 percent of all South Korean prostitutes worked near US military camps.

In 1960, two lawmakers in the South Korean National Assembly called on the country’s leadership to train a supply of prostitutes for the allied military, to prevent them from spending their money in Japan instead.
